I am so happy you are reacting to this amazing show. It is so authentic to the book and the author David Nichols actually wrote episode 13. So he was involved in the whole process. He said Ambika Mod was the perfect Emma and Leo the perfect Dex.

Dexter was calling the weather line when he was pretending to be speaking to his mum. This was a thing in the states around this time as well, I remember calling it as a kid/teen.

For anyone who doesn't know, there is a movie called One Day with Anne Hathaway in it. This show, and that movie are both based on a novel by David Nicholls. 😁

@@spookyspooks33 Yes, I would recommend to watch the film. I watched it once and cried my eyes out. I hadn't read the novel before, so it kicked right in my feels. Really underrated, I feel.

Such a gut wrenching show. As someone who doesn’t ever think they’ll find love it really sets you up with the ideal that you’ll meet your person and change for the better BECAUSE of them and how much you wanna be with them. This’ll be really fun

Arthur’s Seat is a big hill that looms over Edinburgh. I climbed it a couple of years ago and it was magnificent. There were spectacular views of the city and the Firth of Forth. It’s super windy up there.

I read the original book (which is very popular) and saw the movie (which wasn’t very popular) and honestly I didn’t like either. It just wasn’t for me. But I watched the show anyway. And I’m so glad I did. It’s a gorgeous production in every respect. And it inspired so many real and raw feelings (but that might have been because I binged it alone, so it felt all the more intimate.) I sobbed like a baby. It’s 💯 worth the watch even if you didn’t enjoy the source material. Even if you did. Even knowing what’s going to happen. Not a single word of constructive criticism could I come up with if I tried. Standing ovation. ❤️

the series is based on the book and Anne Hathaway is in the OG back in the 2000s. I loved the movie so much I havent gotten around to watching the Netflix adaptation - cant wait to see what they include and if anything will differ 🙃

Its based on a book. There was a 2011 movie with Anne Hathaway but I think this series is far superior. It looks at one single day (july 15th) of em and dex's life over a 20 year span.
