Reeving the Block

Local 7 Ironworkers and Hallamore Crane Operations Crew reeve the block of a Demag AC 600-ton telescoping crane from left to right with 24 mm CASAR cable and 1,804 feet of line on the main winch.
Working as a team they thread the cable on a brisk April dawn in preparation for a 200-ton trip and lift of a 120 foot long bridge tower section in Chelsea, MA.
Shot exclusively with the Canon 5D DSLR in HD Video with a Canon 17mm lens.

@328DLCR Odd numbers always have the dead end at the hook block,rather than on the boom.Most of the operators I work with will use even numbers though,easier for them I guess.

very nice, everyone calls that reeved but technically its a laced block im surprised with that many part of line they didnt "reeve" it, if they can we have that crane but havent been around it much.
