Used mine (16") essentially as a speedster for a few months to break it in having noted the same out of the box issues as yourself. Now it's an essential piece of kit for me. Double team with the nela medi for a perfect finish (Mt ss or cs up to the wet pass). Helpful review as usual bud.

I've got one of these. I'm usually a massive refina fan I have loads of there tools but in my opinion the mark 2 is much better than this one. There quite heavy and take longer to wear in. Mines gone back in the shed and probably won't see the light of day again.

I've had one for 8 months now and it's much better than the first few weeks..

Im using a nela mediflex for everything after sponging and flattering in atm but tbh one of the best medium flexible trowels that I've used is the beroxpert mediflex. I don't know what it is about it but it gives a fantastic second and finishing trowels. I usually don't use beroxpert tools but the mediflex is superb. I'm not a great fan of the really flexible trowels. They're great for finishing a wall but they are so easily damaged and I think the mediflex does almost as good a job finishing.

I'd love to get a job where I can spend 3 hours doing 1 wall and sell a trowel while doing so.

Hi Alex,could you give your opinion on the differences and better trowel between the OX ultraflex and the rafina superfex if you have get a chance.i use the OX 16" ultraflex and love it for the final finishes👌

Hi Alex thanks for the reply and will look forward to your review,I have seen your hopup in a couple of vids and it looks like a Werner with a bit of extra leg room than a bog standard if you ever get a chance would it be possible for you to do a review on that it would be great if you could. thankyou ..I'm looking to buy the Werner adjustable it looks like a descent bit of kit👍

Takes a bit of getting used to. It’s certainly a unit. But it’s producing some great results.

Hi Eddie We will be doing a giveaway video when its ready. Hi Matt. Haven’t heard form you in a while on the channel. I think I probably will tbh. It’s a nice trowel to use. If I don’t use it Louie certainly will.

I just can't get used to mine. I always end up going back to the MT or nelaflex. Maybe just need to persevere with it.

Also after a few days of using it I really struggles with strain in my forearm. Find it too heavy

Tbh, we have been using it a lot more recently. Can’t fault the finish. I imagine it would be unbelievable razor sharp. I don’t always use it. Mainly stay with a carbon steel, but I would say it was better than the Nela Midi IMO.

@@AlexMorleyPlastering out of curiosity. If you mix far too much for your first coat. Like me🤣 Do you chuck it or mix it up with your second. Obviously reskimming artex has to be left a while before applying a second coat. But on plasterboard it's something I do often.
