We did 158.5 miles (North and South broads) over a 10 day period and used £95 of diesel at £1.35pl = 70.3 litres = 15.4 gallons = 10.2mpg. We didn't use the space heater at all and kept to the speed limits.
By comparison we have our own boat on the river Avon running a 5.7 ltr Mercruiser V8 which gets 3.5 mpg on a good day.

We've just had a few days on The Broads last week, just before the rain really came down. Our first time and it was lovely and I can see the attraction of boating life. We had Gleaming Light 2. What a beauty!

We are going on the Broads with Herbert Woods on the 4th of September for 4 nights. The boat we have booked is Amber Light. I am looking forward to it very much indeed.
