Question, Now I know we put machines on Pads in the machine shop but that was more to help level them and help take away vibrations, why are you doing it in a woodworking shop?

SawStop has purchased the Excalibur Sliding table and is now selling it for use on the SawStop saws. I am looking for a new saw and saw this option on the ICS.

I belive if you move the fence from front to back you dont flip it , it should be moved without turning it around means the end should be at the end not on your outfeed table , this way also the measurements on scale stays accurate if adjusted, this turning around just makes no sence

Seriously the guard over the blade is not necessary if you have a zero insert plate and a riving knife and your standing far on the left of the saw blade where you have to with this add on. they don't use them in europe that way I don't believe but you could put on above the work and the miter edge of the saw and add a sweep leg to remove cut off's that would give you no reason to reach over a running blade. Both your hands will be on your work piece both feet solid on the floor and your out of the line of fire. Kick backs would be impossible in plywood if you didn't trap the waste between the blade and fence. the hook on the outside should be holding the other side of the rail read your assembly instructions it should be by the blade not away from it. I didn't even read them never seen them but it makes more sense. OK I looked at it for you, you slide the black hooked bar inside the fence excursion its an extension bar. If that's the case that a 15' board would work on this and not have that in the way of your length of cut. I also think the fence should be level or parallel with the table top from blade end to the outside end. yours is not you've skipped a support block or somthing. Reread the installation instructions you have missed somthing or a few things. I could make one of this from scratch. for what they are selling these for I might just build my own off the top of my head. I'll use 80/20 and steel angle iron with Roller skate wheels or skateboard wheels. and maybe some c channel and some square stock tubing. I think a rubber roller would be better than steel to steel.
