You've heard of The Trinity Delusion? I let go of the trinity after months of dialogue with this guy. He's very knowledgeable. If you're superstitious you might think him the devil trying to undermine God but if you're open to spiritual insight I'd look into his website. I recommend you check out a video titled, 'The Secret of the Churches of Men' by KZfaqr David McMurdo. It deals with the Trinity. TheTrinityDelusion and I disagree on a few things but we agree on the Trinity. He's very logical and persuasive. If you deny this you're just being difficult. You can think him wrong but you can't know! You can only THINK he's wrong. My assessment of the evidence provided is that TheTrinityDelusion presents the most HONEST interpretation. There are no sinister motivations at work. I'd check Kel's website where his ideas are presented more thoroughly. Advocacy of the Trinity ALWAYS comes from a point of assumed correctness as the advocate thinks they're defending THE tenant of the faith. This in itself should make us pause as this belief is patently unbiblical and unspiritual.

I'm in the middle of a discussion about this very thing with another. And the problem is in that I share scripture to show Jesus at the right hand of God after many, many other texts! And He won't answer but proclaims that he is an Apostle? This is a real issue! They won't answer any texts by texts of scripture! Other than Act's 38 I think it was? But it frustrating to give exact example in scripture and yet there is no answer to scripture from scripture? Just a knowledge taught by man.... It's just as dangerous as Calvinism! And I'm the bad guy for saying so. Which I don't mind one bit! Where is the narrow gate? By man or by the word alone? UGH!

It's pretty simple when the bible says that we are built in the image of GOD. Mind, body and soul. A Trinity that makes us who we are. But faith is the only way to understand it. My friend if youve ever taken the time to study the history of just how the trinity doctrine came to be accepted by the church, you might change your mind! Just start with 'The council of Nicea 325ad'. Facts will make you think! To start with the council was conviened and influenced by a pagan emperor who had his own step son & wife murdered! It was held in his summer palace, not a church or Christian building. Some of those that advocated it were ex communicated. They argued, insulted each other, shouted e.t.c. When it was adopted, anyone not agreeing with it could be cruelly executed! So It goes on. Just read James 3:10-16 shows it could NOt have had God's blessing. The word 'trinity' 'father,son & holy ghost' are nowhere to be found in the bible. It is a false teaching and insults the ONE true Almighty God & offends Jesus whose whole purpose while on earth was to lead us to 'The Father' ( John 14:6.)

Wow! I enjoy this video presentation with all the graphics, scholarship, content, brevity, and simplicity. The video merely attempts to answer some of the objections advanced by those who hold to different types of Unitarian view of God--e.g. Ariian/JWs, Modalism, Socinian--in the way they use a number of Biblical passages. The Trinity is a concept derived via a logical deduction: 1. the Father (first person) is the Almighty God, 2. the Son (second person) is the Almighty God, 3. and the Holy Spirit (third person) is the Almighty God; 4. yet there is only one Almighty God; 5. therefore, these three persons are the one Almighty God. However, demonstrating 2 and 3 to be Biblical is a LONG, HUGE and VERY COMPLICATED work! In addition, the Trinitarian also has the burden to provide answers to a number of issues, one of which is how to maintain one's Trinitarian Christological orthodoxy, without becoming a heretic--e.g., Sabellianist, Nestorianist, Apolinarianist, monothelite monophysite. (BTW, William Lane Craig is a monothelite/semi-Apolonarianist). I wonder if Inspiring Philosophy is planning on doing this. If there are videos already available, I'd like to see them.

InspiringPhilosophy Saw the video. You my friend are closer to the truth than what you think. The video does not promote a biblical Trinity, but more of a Babylonian one. Dr. Benjamin Sommer states "one God that manifests in three different ways." This my friend is not the Trinity, but Oneness. As a matter of fact, all your examples point to this. Now, in some cases you mix it up between true Jewish belief and occultic Jews, thus blurring the line of truth. Not all Jews believe the same as those who believe in "mysticism, the Talmud, Metatron, and Philo's three Powers." Now, at 9:00 you mention Philo and his ideas. You do not see the connection between Philo's teachings and those of the Ante-Nicene Fathers? Philo, it is true, was not Trinitarian, but he was a mystic. The Christian Trinity is the same as that of the mystical one. My book "Philo's Trinity" uncovers how the Ante-Nicene Fathers (Ignatius, Justin, Irenaeus, Clement, Origen, etc.) took from the writings of Philo, and gave the world a Christian Trinity.

Nice, I'm gonna link this video anytime anyone tries to cite Numbers 23 in support of the idea that God is not a man. 9:13 Uh oh, you had to pull out the false trump card of "context" though. What you don't realize is that you completely overlooked the argument Christ was making when referring to the scripture. Look at the sentence following his citation: _If he called them gods to whom the word of God came - and scripture can not be broken - do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, "You are blaspheming," because I said, "I am the Son of God?"_ What is the argument? Well, to start, he is countering the claim that he has committed blasphemy by calling himself the Son of God. He argues that if it is lawful for fallen, mortal men to be called "gods", then it must also be lawful for Jesus to call himself the Son of God. The implicit assumption is, of course, that a son of god is subordinate to a god. It must be lawful to call fallen, mortal men "gods", because God himself did so in scripture, and scripture must be valid. Therefore, it is lawful for Christ to call himself the Son of God. In other words, his basic argument is if it isn't blasphemy to call a man "god" (which it isn't since God himself did so and can not sin), then it certainly isn't blasphemy to call a man "son of god". Thus he refuted the charge of having broken the law by committing blasphemy.

@InspiringPhilosophy
@InspiringPhilosophy 7 жыл бұрын
I don't agree, here is what James White says, ""Here we have the key to the passage, for this is a psalm of judgment against the rulers of Israel. God takes his stand in His own congregation, that being His own people, Israel. He judges in the midst of the “rulers.” The Hebrew term here is “elohim,” which could be translated “gods.” The NASB however, recognizes that the context indicates who is being discussed, for the next verse reads, “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked.” Who judges unjustly and shows partiality? Human judges, of course, human rulers amongst the people. Hence, the NASB rendering of “elohim” as “rulers.” It is important to recognize the use of the term elohim in verse 1, for the very same term appears in verse 6, and is what lies behind Jesus’ citation in John 10:34. Before moving on in the text, it should be noted that even at this point recognizing that this passage is talking about unjust human rulers removes this passage from the realm of possible passages to cite in support of a plurality of gods, and certainly, Jesus was not, by citing this passage, calling His accusers true divine beings.""

At the psalms 110 (109 Hebrew) we see 3 Lords. One Lord who sits at the right hand of another and a 3rd Lord who sits at the right hand of the 1st Lord. So we see God Father and at his right hand the Son and at the right hand of the Son the Holy Spirit. Whole old testament is full of the Holy Trinity verses, even at Genesis 1.1-3 We see God Father creates the Heaven and the earth, Holy Spirit hovereds over creation in creative power and equality with the Father. He co-created with the Father and the Son (as the Word of God) made the light with creative power and equality with the Father, He also co-created with the Father and the Spirit.

+InspiringPhilosophy So, if I understand the Trinity correctly, it's: God x Jesus Christ x Holy Spirit= God. ( 1 x 1 x 1= 1). In this comment, I'll not adress whether or not the concept of God being multiple persons is illogical, rather I'll talk about the necessity of the Holy Spirit. How would the Holy Spirit be necessary when God (the mental) and Jesus (the physical) are already there. We only know of the mental and the physical as the two fundamental substances. Or is there more than the 'mental' and 'physical' which you can tell me of?
@MCMasterBro
@MCMasterBro 7 жыл бұрын
Mathematical analogies are bad. There are far more better. Like "Father is the Mind who eternally begets Son-Imagination and with him he proceeds Spirit-Mental picture". Why is Spirit necessary? For God is a) self sufficient i.e. doesn't need anything beside himself and b) Perfect Love. If he was only two persons his eternal love would be exclusive. Three persons make it inclusive and thus perfect. Fofth person wouldn't add anything to it and since there is nothing not neseccery in God, God is Triune. You may want to read "De trinitate" from Richard of Saint Victor.

The thing is, when theists speak about the spirit/soul/mind, they are essentially speaking about the same thing ( hence why I slashed the three of them). My point is, that the Holy Spirit is unnessary because God Himself is Holy AND he is THE Spirit/Mind/Soul. Therefore, a Duality would make more sense than the Trinity. With God ( Mind/Spirit/Soul ) and Jesus Christ ( Physical). If you don't agree with me on theists saying Mind/Spirit/Soul are the same thing, just ask InspiringPhilosophy and Johanan Raatz. They see the Mind as an entity (seperate from the brain).
@UncannyRicardo
@UncannyRicardo 7 жыл бұрын
When did theists say mind/spirit/soul are the same thing? Although some may indeed view them as being equal, its not a theological position from what i now. The exact nature on souls/spirits are a little vague in terms of their experiences, so i'm not sure this agreement as to their nature.
@haroldbright8362
@haroldbright8362 7 жыл бұрын
If you wanted to use a mathematical analogy, it would be more like G = p1 * p2 * p3 where G is God and the subsequent letters are the different persons of the Trinity. The reason variables are necessary is because G and pn are different categories. Whereas pn is a person, G is the being which is each p. As for specifics like whether to use a plus vs the asterisk, or things of that nature, I'm sure someone could come up with a much better mathematical description than I can. Again, the reasoning is that the bible demonstrates 3 divine figures with distinct personhood in equal category, and a singular being called YHWH whose name is given to all three of the aforementioned persons. Because this name belongs to a personal being yet it belongs also to 3 other persons we can deduce that YHWH is a higher category of existence. For your question about Holy Spirit's necessity, there's a couple things you misunderstand. For example, in Trinitarian doctrine, the Holy Spirit is not an extra person because it simply sounds pretty and it is not unnecessary by any means. The doctrine of the Holy Spirit's distinct personhood is in the Trinity solely because the bible deems it necessary. You can refer to IP's other videos on the Trinity where he talks about where the bible requires us to believe that the Holy Spirit is indeed personal and distinct from the Father and the Son. To cite a passage you can read John 14 and 15 in regards to this topics to get you started. The other mistake you make is that you distinguish the Father and the Son as mental and physical parts of the same being respectively when this is incorrect. It sounds like you might be a Oneness Pentecostal. If that's right, don't worry I used to be as well so I won't flame you :) (if not, that's no problem either). It just helps me understand how to respond to you. So what you sound like you understand is that Jesus Christ came into existence 2000 years ago when the Father inhabited the body of a man, or became a man (depending on who you ask) because you say God (I'm assuming you mean the Father) is the mental (or Spiritual) aspect of God/Jesus Christ and Jesus (the Son) is the physical aspect of God/Jesus. Firstly, you need to understand that the Son(or Jesus) and the Father are two distinct figures (they are not each other). The Father is not the Spiritual aspect of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came from His Divine place in heaven at the right hand of the Father to become a man like us and give His life for us on the cross. This can be seen in various places places throughout the bible whether you look in the Old Testament (Psalm 2, 110, Isaiah is an oasis on this topic, etc...) or the New Testament (John 1:1-18, 3, 8, 14, 15, 16, Philippians 2:5-8, and many more). A lot of the listed verses not only show the distinction of the Son and the Father but also the fact that they are both this one being God/YHWH. So what you need to discern then is what the bible says about the Holy Spirit. Does it indeed point to the HS being another distinct person who is also called God. You'll find that the evidence points towards the affirmative. Again, you can refer to IP's other videos on the topic or start off in John 14,15. So if the bible tells us that the Holy Spirit is distinct from the Father and the Son and is also God, then it is of necessity that our doctrine teach that. Lastly, responding to your answer to MCMasterBro, the Trinity doctrine doesn't try to parallel the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to Spirit, Soul, and Mind. God/YHWH is the singular spiritual being. The Father is God, therefore he is spirit. The Son is God, therefore he is spirit. The Holy Spirit is God, therefore he is spirit. All three of three of these persons are spirit in essence. One of those persons, the Son, was incarnate 2000 years ago and became a man (Jesus the Messiah), taking on a new nature which he didn't have before, which is human. So you can't separate Jesus from God as two different beings, but you can say Jesus and the Father are two different persons. The key is the categorical distinction of being vs person, where God is a multipersonal being, and not simply a distinction of nature (humanity vs divinity). The former describes the Trinity, the latter describes the Incarnation. Hope I've not been been too complicated. God bless!

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'll definitely read those Bible passages you told me about and the videos you referred me to. Now, on to your comment, I did not say Jesus Christ and God are seperate beings. I just said Jesus Christ is the physical manifestation of God, yet he is still God. Similar to water; it's solid form is ice, it's liquid form is water and you also have it as vapour. Yet, all of these 3 states/conditions/ of water are still referred to as water. Now, regarding the necessity of the Holy Spirit, I see that you also gave some Bible passages in support to it. However, my point wasn't really whether the Holy Spirit is necessary according to the Bible. It's just that I've seen IP and many others talk about the quantity not being important in the doctrine of the Trinity ( to try to point out if it's illogical or not). It's just that in the Bible itself, God says he is a Spirit/Soul/Mind Himself. So, while Jesus Christ and God are not different beings (and both still are God) , they are different persons. This makes sense (and is important to us, mankind), since you have God, as two different persons. With Jesus Christ, as God Himself ( but then as a physical manifestation of God), mankind was able to see, hear, feel what God's 'omni's' is like with our very own eyes, ears and hands. For example, Jesus Christ rising people from the dead, curing diseases (which were thought to be uncurable). However, with the Holy Spirit, I really don't see it's necessity. Also, could it be true that the doctrine of the Trinity has been borrowed from Hinduism? With Brahman, Shiva and Vishnu all being God, yet still not be seperate beings ( but seperate persons). God bless,

7:49 - even if it did mean origin, I think that given that this is a prophecy concerning the messiah's birth in Bethlehem, we could easily just say that it's referring to the birth of the human messiah. This is compatible with the belief in the Trinity and the Incarnation for while The Logos existed from eternity past, the human body of Jesus had a beginning in the womb of Mary. So he "comes forth" or has his origin in the town of Bethlehem. So you could concede the point and it still doesn't imply that Jesus isn't God.

The argument about Psalms 2:7 is problematic to the trinity. If you understand begotten as created Jesus isn't God because it's not eternal. But if you understand it as an appointment it means that Jesus is not fully God because he need an appointment, and God doesn't need anything from anyone, less so being invested in power from others. In 1 Cor 8:6. What about the difference in "from whom" and "through whom" and saying the exact same phrase? It's making a difference, God as the origin and Jesus as the medium (not in a modalist sense). Hebrews 1:8-12, again, God needs to be anointed?

One of the strongest proofs, at least in my mind, that Jesus was God and the 2nd member of the trinity is found throughout the Gospels where the Jews and Pharisees try to stone and arrest Jesus for Blasphemy. I've often said that the Pharisees and Sadducees as well as the other Jews who tried to stone him knew PRECISELY what Jesus was trying to say. Also, when he defends himself as being God to the Pharisees, it's rarely if ever out of confusion, but because they're about to stone him and are accusing him of Blasphemy.

Begetting does not mean "a special appointment." That's a myth. And Acts 13:30-33 tells us Jesus was begotten when God raised him from the dead. Concerning Adonai/Adoni, can you tell us how you know that Jesus is Adonai but David was only Adoni? Let me guess - you will cherry pick what suits you. And your Bible tells you that Psalm 110:1 was fulfilled when God raised Jesus from the dead and made him Lord (Acts 2:33-36). Concerning Isaiah 9:6, why didn't you listen to Jesus when he taught you that "ONE is your Father." He taught us that we have ONE not two or three. And who is Deut 32:6 talking about? If you actually did your homework, you would find that Micah 5:2 is referring to the Messiah's ancient ancestral origins in Bethlehem (i.e. David's home). But somehow you are seeing something which is not there. Shall I continue?

Yet you think begotten means to come into existence even though we have Acts 13:30-33? No, I looked at the textual evidence of Adonai/Adoni. Do you have evidence of the word Adoni existing prior to the introduction of Hebrew vowels? Where is it in the LXX? Concerning Isaiah 9:6, this is a red herring. No Trinitarians doubts we have one Father (autotheos). Can you show the word in Micah 5:2 actually means origin? You're completely missing the point.

Its worth mentioning that following the council of Nicea 325AD the matter of the 'trinity' was by no means settled once for all! For a number of CENTURIES the nature of Christ's divinity' was hotly debated and only accepted as 'orthodox' by the direct intervention of succeeding Roman emperors who invariably used the power of the sword & spear to enforce its position as the 'official' teaching of a very secularised & wordly 'church'. Jesus said "by their fruits you will recognise them". Many have died an excruciating death for merely questioning this unbiblical doctrine! "My Kingdom is no part of this world" Jesus our Lord said!

Actually beget means to bring about. If the trinity came into existence at the same time because of its nature then each member begat each other member because under that interpretation they caused one another to come into existence. Another form would be similar to DID( dissasociative identity disorder) where there is my original mind but for whatever reason ( trauma, progress ect. In the case if DID) another me was brought into existence. The original me begat this new one which is still technically me but didn't exactly begin to exist because of the fact that it is still me. ( I know it's confusing but it's an extraordinary difficult concept to attempt to fully explain) so Christ could be begotten without beginning to exist. Or it could be that this entire passage is only talking about him being physically brought into being/begotten by the father because previously he had no physical form.

InspiringPhilosophy Unfortunately your explanation doesn't quite work. The fact of the matter is that the passage clearly calls the beings he's talking to gods and sons of the most high. There is no indication they're human. Furthermore, Yahweh condemns them to die like men. If the people he was referring to were already men then this punishment makes no sense. It makes more sense that these were divine beings who God was condemning to die like mortals. Finally, we know from studies of both the Bible and related literature that the Jews did believe in the existence of other gods even though they considered Yahweh to be in a class all His own. I'm pretty sure you're familiar with this research on ancient monotheism since I heard you allude to it in a podcast which is why I'm so confused that you don't know about psalm 82.

IP your work has been a veritable God send in my life, and I can't thank you enough for your hard work, though even I have to point out that the simplest reading is that he's judging the gods themselves. It has precedent in other passages like Exodus 12:12, "On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD." He's judging the sons of God he appointed to the other nations, as in Deuteronomy 32:8-9. These are the principalities and powers or demons Paul speaks of as being defeated by the cross, and the final verse of Psalm 82 "arise O Lord and reclaim the nations" is prophesying the conquest of the Kingdom of God over the other nations gods, and some scholars like David Burnett have connected the word "arise" to the resurrection of Christ. There's also that odd passage about the prince of Persia in Dan 10:3 that speaks of spritual beings as being rulers over certain nations. When Jesus quotes Psalm 82, he's saying, "Your own scripture speaks about other sons of God, so why do you take issue if I call myself the son of God. But I'm not just any god, but I'm the god/elohim who presides over the council, because I am in my Father and my Father is in me. But if you don't believe my words, believe because of the works I do." As others have said, look at Michael Heiser's work. He's a top notch scholar who solidly shows the Trinity is in the OT, but his interpretation of Psalm 82 is that the God of Israel is judging the other nations gods, his sons which he later replaces with believers, hence why John's Gospel makes a point about believers becoming "sons of God," why Paul calls believers "holy ones," Daniel speaks of those resurrected as shining like the stars/celestial beings, and why Jesus said that those worthy of the Resurrection will be like the angels. This divine council/judgement theology is crucial for making sense of the NT, IP. Anyways thanks for all the work IP, I pray you don't take this the wrong way. We really *do* appreciate your work, brother

And how does it roll up like a garment. Or a scroll. Because there's a firmament a vault a dome over our head. Were God placed the Sun the moon and the stars on the 4th day. What's gonna roll up in a million mile billion mile expanse of space? How's that gonna happen on a globe? Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as molten looking glass. Job37:18. The Heavens declare God's Glory and the Firmament shewth his handiwork. Psalm 19:1. Which by the way is on Werner von Braun's grave stone. Things that make you go hummmm. You also read a passage about us becoming Jesus' footstool. Now would you have a spinning footstool? God's throne is straight above us above the dome above the North Star that never moves. Everything circles around us on the flat plain. It's as plain as Day. Go the ocean, and when the ship goes out of your sight range, get your binoculars or a telescope, camera and focus back in on it. It didn't go over a curve, it went out of your sight. Sorry Bill Nye the liar guy. May the Grace and Truth of Christ Jesus be with you all.

Four questions. Why can't people in the northern hemisphere see certain stars and people in the southern hemisphere can't see certain stars? How do explain different seasons in different in the two hemispheres? Why is there winter in the northern hemisphere and summer in the southern hemisphere? Why can an airplane fly "over" the Pacific Ocean? Why can an airplane fly "over" Antarctica?

Great video, IP! However, I think the analogy should be "I am not an UNFAITHFUL husband, that I should cheat." You're not saying that you AREN'T a husband, or even that you COULDN'T be a husband, only that cheating is not in your nature. Just as the NATURE of man is to lie, the NATURE of an unfaithful husband is to cheat. But if God WERE a man, or were to BECOME a man, He would NOT lie, because lying is not in His nature. By analogy, if you WERE a husband, or BECAME a husband, you would NOT be unfaithful because cheating is not in your nature. Numbers 23;19 is saying that God is not MERELY a man. Any interpretation of the text to mean that God can not BECOME a man is tantamount to saying that God cannot enter into His own creation. Imagine if the Israelites had said to Moses, "God is not a bush, that He should burn, not be consumed, and talk to strangers" in response to the events of Exodus 3! ;-) Keep up the great work, IP. God Bless!

***** So why are you objecting to the doctrine of the Trinity? This series is meant to help against cults that deny the Trinity not atheists that don't believe in a God to begin with. The traits of God is in short that God is perfect. Which means that He could not become greater. He is all-powerful, all-good, all-wise, all-knowing. There is nothing He did not create and nothing that can exist outside of Him. He has always been and always will.

only thing that I'm taking from this is that the scriptures are ambiguous, given the fact that the same verses are used to argue for exact opposite positions. It really seems the writers were even more clueless about the nature of God than we are...

distorting the verses: numbers 23:19 God is not a man or a son of man Jesus explains what God is : John 4:24 KJV - God is a SPIRIT: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. the greatest proof is that Jesus preached he has a God and that Jesus was returning back to God. for those with understanding; he also called himself son OF God , the word OF is very important to read.

I do not see why Jesus can't be God if He was "begotten" at a specific "today" in the past. I think YHWH "begat" Jesus (not "created" Him) in somewhat the same way we "beget" children rather than "creating" them ourselves. Note that we can only "beget" beings ontologically equal to ourselves (other humans). Perhaps, likewise, God cannot "create" another Divine Being ontologically equal to Himself, but He can beget one (Jesus). Jesus coming into existence at a "today" in the finite past doesn't reduce His divinity or His unique relationship to YWHW.

"begotten" is used only twice in the OT, both prophecies of Christ taking human form - and referenced in the NT. That's what it means.

Greg: That's interesting, but *if* true the word is misleading, Jesus was not "begotten", He was "incarnated" and it was by the HS and not by the Father. "Today I have begotten you" was spoken by the HS.

Good morning brother - I thought I posted here last night but It did take for whatever reason. When "begotten" is used in the NT - it's a quoting of the OT prophecies about the Messiah, meaning the Messiah taking a human form as a man here on earth. It's applied in the NT physically and spiritually. I encourage you to read those OT passages and live that rich blessing knowing that Jesus died for our sins. "Begotten" is the English translation and was the greek translation from Hebrews, it doesn't mean created.

*Public Notice* Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known. The following is not for Gino Jennings and his followers. Its for those that are seeking the truth. *He saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever:* God is Father nor is He the Son or the Holy Spirit. God is Son nor is He the Father or the Holy Spirit. God is Holy Spirit nor is He the Father or the Son. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. , I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God. And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am. And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God. Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God. But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: Jesus the Son of God, seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; *These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass* In Trinitarian doctrine, God exists as three persons but is one being, having a single divine nature.[80] The members of the Trinity are co-equal and co-eternal, one in essence, nature, power, action, and will. As stated in the Athanasian Creed, the Father is uncreated, the Son is uncreated, and the Holy Spirit is uncreated, and all three are eternal without beginning.[81] "The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit" are not names for different parts of God, but one name for God[82] because three persons exist in God as one entity.[83] They cannot be separate from one another. Each person is understood as having the identical essence or nature, not merely similar natures.[84] According to the Eleventh Council of Toledo (675) "For, when we say: He who is the Father is not the Son, we refer to the distinction of persons; but when we say: the Father is that which the Son is, the Son that which the Father is, and the Holy Spirit that which the Father is and the Son is, this clearly refers to the nature or substance"

Happily this thread is only 'online' refuting! right up to 1830AD and for over a 1000 years if you or I 'refuted' the trinity we would have been tied to a stake and slowly burnt to death! while robed priests chanted the 'trinity' around the cruelist of inhumanity to man conceivable! As they died you could just hear them call to God the Almighty Creator "In the name of Jesus your dear son, forgive them for their error!"

In that debate with Buzzard, White and Brown, Buzzard didn't know his Old Testament. He knew little to nothing about the "Angel of The LORD" ,"Word of The LORD" etc.. He knew nothing about "Name Theology" and God's Presence. White knew a lot more than Buzzard, about the Old Testament, in fact Brown was the only one there who one could say, "owned the Old Testament". Buzzard only knew select passages in the OT, that dealt with the Angel of The LORD, that he could twist into his weird distorted view. I only say this because the Old Testament is chuck full of contexts of a second Yahweh-God figure, that Jesus fit so perfectly into, that the Jews of the first century had to ban the belief in this second Yahweh figure, thus it became heresy and believers like Buzzard bought hook, line and sinker...
