My dad writes for the show, I was very lucky and was sitting in the front row right above him. I feel a little bad for him though, imagine being so handsome that people won’t give you any space ever. Just because he’s ridiculously good looking doesn’t mean that he isn’t still a person with a right to personal space.

@@Mac62671 I love Colbert but I get what you are saying. And as SC said, he never really watched Mr. Page's breakout role; he watched his wife watch it as he came in and out of the room. Please do not get me wrong, I am not making excuses for SC's embarrassing and superficial line of inquiry because in this instance he got it wrong. He treated his interview with Mr. Page as he treats all things in which he is not interested, but is forced to cover, in his role as a "Late Night Talk Show Host".......... stereotypically. And that kind of thinking, acting and creating is not what made SC great. I am going on record and saying that SC missed the mark on this interview by a country mile.

@@traceythompson1092 insightful. I agree. If he had explored more what Rege - jean was really like ....hobbies, books...anything that was about his own effort rather than genetics-. Didn't know who this guy is, name meant nothing to me, and he's nice looking, (great smile), but still, he's an unknown to me. Along with not knowing who he is, I sure did not know what films he's been in. what films he played in. S. Colbert mentioned Bridgerton, which I saw most of season one, and then it clicks who he is. But in street clothes, relaxing with Steve Colbert, I'm impressed how nice Regé-Jean Page is, and what a sense of humor he has. Hope he continues with success in whatever direction life takes him. You have to realize that Rege is the face of a great cologne! His awareness of colognes has risen considerably. He has to put a plug in every now and again and hope others are purchasing the cologne so he can earn his space in that position. Also, other companies are attracted to actors when they see how well they promote the brand they are assigned to. My son and my husband and their crowd talk about colognes quite freely and inquire as to the name of the fragrance and who carries it. I think they have finally realized how important their scents are to women and they are trying to up their game. Hope that helps. Love that Rege Jean Page! He looked great on the SCS last night. Oh, he would take James Bond to another level. Rjpayne
