Hi!
No music. No talking. Just work.
If you are taking your LENOVO Y430 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.

Hi, I don't have this laptop, so, can't make another video. Just watch this video, figure out what you need to take out and what don't and change your DC jack. Or it can be more complicated if case bottom broken. In this case you can either somehow fix it by gluing DC jack to a broken spot, or change a case bottom, what will be more nice, but will take much more time.

I recently had a problem in the DC jack of my 4-year-old Y430. It had been loose for some time and then one day it stopped charging the battery altogether. After watching this video and going through the service of manual of Y450 which was available somewhere in the Net, we could repair it fairly easily.

Having repaired the DC jack after taking out the hard disk, memory sticks, wireless card, cables, keyboard cover, keyboard and the dvd drive, I now feel, one could just follow these steps: Remove keyboard cover, keyboard and dvd drive. Removing the side screws, pull the keyboard bezel a little up at the side of the power jack. Remove a small screw holding the jack's cable inside and pull the jack out of the nearby hole in the bezel. Repair connections and fix the jack with epoxy if necessary.

Inorder to replace the LCD Screen Properly, Yes you do need to remove the screen from the LCD Bezel, you need to remove the screen from the hinges, and you might as well remove the hinges from the laptop, to do that, on most laptops, you need to remove the keyboard besel, to do that, you need to remove the keyboard, and in some Lenovo laptops, to remove the keyboard from the laptop, you need to remove screws on the bottom of the laptop. after you are done removing keyboard bezel, LCD bezel, and keyboard, you need to find the screws that fasten the laptop LCD screen to the body of the laptop, you need to removethem, then attempt to lift the LCD assembly from the laptop. if you cant, don't force it, look to see if their are any of screws in the back of the laptop. Also, don't forget to remove the Video Cable coming from the LCD connected to the motherboard.

would you be able to make a vid to show me how to fix my broken power plug? thats all i need, (it broke into the computer so now its a pain to get a connection and battery backup doesnt work)

Most likely LCD is broken, it will be visible if you will touch a screen...

+austin ermis Hey, didn't have enough time to answer few hours ago, but now, I do. I am trying my best and specially around a laptops that I never took apart before I have some confusions. That's why there is a description saying so. Plus I am far away from "kid" don't know your age, but really, KZfaq is a big community and most of the "kids" who are watching this videos are for example about 30-40 years old. :)
