Rimworld has nothing on dwarf fort for utter derangement. You haven’t played dwarf fortress and watched a dwarf try to drink lava because he’s thirsty, set himself on fire in the process, sprint into the brewery in a panic, burn down the entire brewery, causing the brewmaster to go insane, who then picks up the nearest child and throws them into a furnace, resulting in the mother also going insane, which goes into a demented spiral of revenge murder where the entire fortress slaughters each other in a fit of insanity.

For new players I recommend picking up the CoExpansion workshop mod by Nethermind, it's a little old now but I'm biased because I helped test it out for a few years. It expands most classes, changes independent AI behaviour, changes some spells for substantially less friendly fire and also comes with automatic garrisons for fortified and populated tiles which helps to stop early game deaths to wildlife.

The only thing I don’t like about it is how it changes the daemonologist, elementalist and Necromancer. The daemonologist and elementalist get their power spike extremely early on and you’ll fight armies made out of demons or elementals when you don’t have an answer to in the early game. And the Necromancer has it too easy to obtain undead armies, even if I love him to death (heh) and is the only of the casters I appreciate into turning their summons into their full army roster. But holy shit you get so many longdeads that you don’t know what to do with them, and too many soulless to give equipment to. However, the rest of the revamps are *chef’s kiss* . The cultist has an Old Man Henderson reference, the Troll King gets Warhammer Fantasy Night Goblin Fanatics, the new Necromancer rituals are just filled with skeleton puns, and to top it all off EVERYBODY gets terraforming, so the Scourge stops being special… but even he gets new toys to play with… also makes getting to the fun stage of the game easier and earlier. To make a comparison between Expansion and Vanilla for those not in the know: Vanilla is a good grounded experience. Some factions have a different military roster, others feel same-y but their summons give them very very good spice. Expansion mod raises the general power level to the point that it makes the continent of Elysium go through the equivalent of an almost end of the world scenario where powerful wizards, champions of their people and legendary monsters fight over a piece of land (WHICH IS NOT BAD AT ALL!)

@@minibotas9496 You're actually referring to the Total Overhaul mod here lol, CoEx is milder and sticks closer to the Warlords-esque foundations of CoE, although some terraforming is present for certain classes. The Total Overhaul mod is as you say and the even more extreme empire-building option is the Populum mod which tries to turn the game into a full 4X experience.

This game is addictive. I have 800+ hours in this game, and I still discover things I have never thought possible before 20+ classes with different unique things to do, and independents that will murder on you sight. There is nothing worse than the Antpocalypse. You cannot outrun it, you cannot fight it, you can only dread what is to come. The ants are an unconquerable force of nature. Beware the Ants.

Weird question but since Reggie did a Conquest of Elysium title, do you think he'll ever do a Dominions video. Reggie, please do a Rimworld playthrough on sea ice biome and naked brutality scenario. Use strangers joining your colony after all your colonists die(will happen a lot), gather human leather and meat in tents made of human leather animal flaps and sell them to buy resources to build your colony.

Always happy to see some Conquest content. Consider subjecting some friends to a multiplayer game and circumventing their defenses by going through Belgium. For some reason, they decided to call it the Underworld, but they did a great job recreating it accurately.

A few things I noticed. Sims music (a classic in Reggie videos) while summoning the outer god, 7:20 Ogden Stonecaller if I remember his name correctly from Guild Wars: Eye if the North, and Collie's theme from Genshin Impact starting around 15:43.
