Awsamazing Eden Not every time. My school is split, some are jrotc and some are Ib and some are nothing.

My high school only has about 150 IB kids out of a school with 1,400 students. So we have our small IB family and then the regular/honors are friends.

correction: only about 60 of us are actually IB. The rest are sophomore and freshmen in PDP (pre-Diploma) classes but we still call them IB students

at my college (uk last years of high school) only about 50 people do IB

My school only allows IB so it’s not even a choice for me 😂

​@@martinpalacios1824 Overall good. IB is fun, there are many classroom activities not just reading from the textbook. And you also get a lot of group works so you learn how to teamwork. I personally thinks that it is better then the normal (American) curriculum, because you can learn more and grow as a person and not just acedemically. However, there are quite a lot of workload, but it will be fine as long as you manage your time correctly.

Then why are you in IB

Is IB an open university? Or private study without a college?

​@@rimple6068it is a high school program that is similar to AP or A-level, it is for grade 11 to 12, with a duration of 2 years. It requires you to take 6 subjects in which 3 are that higher level and 3 core subject, if you fail even one, you won't get your diploma.

Well its too late now, but as kids we should just learn to enjoy life, youre gonna be drinking most of college anyways, and personally knowing how to have a good social life is more important than studying every day... I sat the exams last year.

i am an Indian and i did the regular for like 6 months and I'm a dp2 student rn lets not lie ok yah u guys have a LOT of books yes but all u got to is study of of that book . we need to work on paper , IAs . EEs , TOKs and atlest 15 CASs. igcse was easy , CBSE was ok , IB tho is sleepless nights , coffee for lunch dinner and breakfast , deadlines on the back , manageBac as the soft board and a shit tone of homework .

Kateřina Bilinová dont worry about it. I just finished my first year of IB (grade 11) and although i have to admit it can be very stressful at times, it also can be very fun as you are surrounded by students who actually are willing to study and the class activities are enjoyable. Ill advise you not to EVER compare yourself or what you are doing with the Non IB kids because that will just make you want to drop out (i had this urge over and over again this year by looking at my other friends’ stress free, fun, social life. But i had to constantly remind myself that what im going through is temporary and if other kids did it then i can too, plus think of your future like at uni and college. The IB programme is gonna help you A LOT!!! Both my older sisters took it and they say it made uni very easy for them especially in terms of managing their time, work, stress and in doing assignments.) i would say that IB is not hard if you can manage to organize yourself and not keep everything for last minute! Goodluck!!!

nasser abdulla thank you so much! I am not so good with time management and coping with stress, so I will have to work hard, but some of my friends have finished IB already and they had social life and fun most of the time. So I guess I am stressing over nothing. Thank you:-)

No we only get 1 month of summer vacation but it's like an extra month cause some schools don't take a vacation between both years😭
