Didn't do the proper finish to show how well it works as a lacing knot. Which was showing that it also comes undone easily enough by pulling the ends. (Unlike following the typical shoelace knot with an extra loop.)

I was taught to fasten my shoes this way, 50 odd years ago. In all that time, I have never had my laces come undone!🤓

You say to do it right over left. If I do it backwards will it still work?
