@@Fr4ncysz i mean.. it depends on the oscilator types you got.. most vco's are monophonic, yes, but you can use a range of for example digital oscilators

"The point of the duel was to see who could make better music, since from David's point of view music is not worth it if it is dissonant and does not respect a pattern, while Gary thinks that music should be free and dissonant. At first we see how David attacks Gary with a series of notes that scale with rhythm. Gary responds with an impromptu melody that rarely repeats the same notes. Then we reached the peak of the confrontation, where both melodies were supposed to face each other. But to David's surprise, instead of confronting Gary, he makes their melodies combine to finally close with their dissonance. In other words, Gary through a dissonant melody managed to control and absorb a harmonious melody, thus creating a perfect melody. David shocked at this revealed truth can not say anything more than " thanks "

I have a theory about it. He took over as king of their land once his brother left and made it follow only his concept of Order, no creativity or free spirited sounds, something which David could never do. However there was a way for him to listen to what he defined as chaos once more. That would be his brother's music, he didn't accept other people's music because they weren't as beautiful as his brother's and thought it was a disgrace for others to try and deviate from order when their songs couldn't even hold a candle to what his brother could make. When he's launched into their sun, he had finally hear what he had been longing for years. His brother's song, such is why he thanked him. He finally had his chance to listen to his brother's music. One. Last. Time...

1:04 Right here the chord modulates to D major with an f#, but plays an f natural at the same time. These notes clash because they are only a half step apart. This is basically the most dissonant a chord can be. It's literally a major and a minor chord at the same time. Very cool

It's called a ring world. The idea was thought up by Larry Niven and first used in his novel Ringworld (1970). Oh it had every right to be this good! This is a masterful tribute to synth music! They brought their A-game on this one, and people still talk about it years after the show ended! Sometimes I wonder if Gary Numan or David Bowie mightve head this themselves. This was so beautifully done!

I like the subtle detail that even with a pattern David had to look down, while Gary, who was playing a different note almost every time he pressed the keyboard, didn’t need to look down at all and just went with whatever he was playing.
