As our plans to raise and breed Ranchu goldfish moves forward, we had to say goodbye to our Red Cap Oranda and Black Moor. They were rehomed to a local fish store where we hope they will find their forever homes.

Sure will miss them, especially Moby! But it is really nice they got a chance to grow out in a nice home for a while.

I agree. I will wonder how big Moby's wen eventually grew.

Andrew, Nice tank. I am big fan of Egg fish, Blue Egg Phoenix is my fav. What type of filter are you using?

I like them too. The 125 has two HOB filters. The 40s have sponge filters. The floating and submerged plants do most of the biological filtration so the filters are mostly for aeration.

Highly informative video, I am planning to breed Ranchu and Oranda as well. Let us know how you go with breeding mate and any useful tips would be great.

I have a petco baby oranda He now looks exactly like Moby did when he first came home with you. How long did you have Moby and how did you grow him so large?
