A quick and simple remedy for your dried up 'jelly gouache' paints.
If, like me, you've left them on a shelf and when you've gone to use them they're completely dried out, don't despair. This simple fix will have you painting again in no time. And this simple remedy makes sure it doesn't happen again.
Simple steps:
* Remove the plastic palette so that the lid has a tighter fit.
* Create a mixture of 10 parts distilled water, 1 part alcohol and 1 part vegetable glycerine.
* Spray your paints with the mixture before and after each painting session.
* If you add too much water don't worry as you can leave the paint out and the water will evaporate.
* When not using your paints try to remember to spray them once a month to keep them fresh.
