Our minds are worry-making machines. They are logic-making machines. The Disorders tend to take advantage of all of that. To win your life back, you need to “Step Back.” First, step back to take on a new perspective - “Why in the world is this happening to me?” Second, step back to decide, “Is this worry a signal or noise?” Third, step back from your content as soon as possible. Then learn to step back in the moment of your fear.

I have OCD. I have symmetry OCD. Can OCD be characterized as an extreme form of perfectionism where anything can lead to anxiety, fear, and distress? Could you be my friend? 🤗😘❤️Your charm is irresistible!!😁 You look energetic.💪 Now, the world can be a nasty crazy place out there, We cannot control what happens but we can use what happens. We have so much reserves of love and support inside us, if we can just remember that in our mind and move on.

Sakura, Meditation heals anxiety, stress and OCD, as it reprogrames the mind. Watch alternate nostril breathing meditation videos on Google and do it for 5 to 10 minutes if possible twice a day. You can sit on a chair or on the ground and do it. Inhale-exhale slowly and feel the relaxation flowing through your mind and body. Negative thoughts will reduce. Shyaaam Sir, Mentor. One of mine is regret related social anxiety. But I'm realizing that sometimes...maybe even half the time or more...what I did in a particular moment was probably my best move anyways. I tend to wish I were some unrealistic version of myself that isn't even necessarily better, more brave or intelligent anyways. It's somewhat nonsensical

If I might make a few suggestions: Ask yourself: what are you afraid of? And sit with this question with brave curiosity. Dig deep. Give yourself time to confront it and feel it fully. And when you have felt it, know you are save. Know that the emotion was stuck because you supressed it. You cant logically tell yourself you are safe, you need to experience it! I personnaly had allot of trouble with this untill I did Ayahuasca ceremony. Althought I do not recommend you do it without propper research and untill it feels good for you to do it! I had to confront my fathers death, I was 8 and found him death in his bed after a heart attack! I never cried once. I always felt weird and neutral about the thing. What happend? It was too traumatic to a 8 year old who loses his daddy, his safety, his best friend! I had to confront it at this ceremony and I literally felt like I was broken into a thousand pieces! It was the worst grief I ever felt in my life. But the great thing is, once you are broken, you get to pick up the pieces and it takes time, but you will get there one way or another! Wish you much love, wisdom and strenght.

If you go to the doctor for a medical test because he’s concerned about something he saw on an exam, to worry about what’s happening until you get the results back is understandable. If you don’t go outside because your worried that everyone you see is thinking negatively about you and is laughing at you behind your back, that would be considered irrational.

1st I'm sorry to hear that you are going thru such as rough time. Either way you are experiencing some type of anxiety. I can offer help bcuz I used to have anxiety really & I do mean REALLY bad. I'll try to be brief, I found out earlier this year that if you detox your body daily for 3 weeks then you have a very good chance of getting rid of your anxiety/ocd. Try what I did, a simple detox by drinking lemon water on an empty stomach 30mins before breakfast. Just get you some lemons, clean the one you'll be using, cut it in half, get a decent size cup/glass, fill it w/room temperature water, squeeze the half of the lemon into the cup/glass, & cut off the tip of the lemon bcuz they have pesticides in them. The point I'm trying to make is that if you cleanse your body on a daily basis then your mind will soon automatically follow. Please keep in my that we are eating all this food & drinking all these drinks which have certain things in them. We're allowing all of this stuff to build up in our system w/out us cleaning ourselves out. The build up of all the stuff we're consuming is a direct cause of certain symptoms/mental illness. Give the lemon water detox daily a try for 3 weeks. & be sure to incorporate a nice amount of drinking regular water as well. I'm living proof that you will feel better & most importantly have a much clearer head after cleaning yourself out daily for 3 weeks. I can only hope you find this helpful. Take care my dear........best wishes!!!

I think because many people think of it as just being "sad" and/or "unhappy" when there is a lot more to it than that. I have learned that the hard way :( BTW, please check out my OCD/depression channel and please comment/leave feedback on a video or two. I want to see if anything I experience is relatable to others and reach out to others who need help: kzfaq.info/love/vVz7KgQnrfeX5dNsNE5lBA?view_as=subscriber

I think he means there’s a strong correlation between people who have OCD and their parents with OCD, I.e people with OCD are more likely to have kids with OCD
@bobhill2483
@bobhill2483 3 жыл бұрын
@@blooper785 Of course there is correlation. however, I believe it is due to growing up and mental development in OCD environment. If somebody shows me research data about children taken away from parents with OCD and placed with emotionally healthy family - if those kids still develop OCD then I believe in genes. I think many people overuse word "genes" which is meant for something purely biological.

@@bobhill2483 Definitely, our childhood environment shapes us. But oddly enough, both my parents don’t have any OCD tendencies. I can only speak for myself but, my compulsions started out as harmless imaginative rituals in my head I made up as a kid, mostly in my head which snowballed into full blown OCD as the responsibilities and stress started piling up. Guess I dug my own grave.
@bobhill2483
@bobhill2483 3 жыл бұрын
@@blooper785 Well, obviously there are other things in our life which can contribute. In my case parents' influence is obvious. My father always was anxious person so copying some of his behaviours was one of the factors. My mother on the other hand on the surface seems to be very outgoing and happy, however, there is a lot o tension inside and need to control. Also she was using weakness of others to point fingers on them (including my father) to feel better about her own insecurities. This caused me to believe that feeling anxious is something bad, especially when others can see it because they will make me feel even worse for feeling anxious. Then I started to come up with "methods" in my head and in my behaviour (compulsions) to avoid bad feelings and prevent others seeing it at any price. The result was quite severe OCD with social anxiety flavour.
