CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Ashley (Charlize Theron) double-crosses Gabriel (Gary Sinise) right before Rudy's (Ben Affleck) eyes.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A burglar looking to make time with a beautiful woman after five years in prison falls into a dangerous trap in this action drama. Rudy (Ben Affleck) is serving time in prison for auto theft, where he becomes friendly with his cellmate Nick (James Frain). Nick has been enjoying a spicy courtship by mail with a woman named Ashley (Charlize Theron), who has sent him several enticing photos, even though he has been unable to send her any of himself. Rudy and Nick are to be released the same day, but Nick is killed in an altercation with only three days left to serve. Rudy is let out on schedule, and discovers Ashley, unaware that Nick is dead, is waiting for him. Swayed by her beauty, Rudy claims to be Nick, which turn out to be fun until Rudy meets Ashley's brother Gabriel (Gary Sinise). Gabriel runs with a group of outlaws planning on using Nick's knowledge of an Indian gambling casino in Michigan where he once worked in order to stage a massive robbery on Christmas Eve. Rudy soon realizes if keeps on being Nick, he gets to stay with Ashley, but he'll also have to go along with Gabriel's robbery, which could easily land him back in prison -- or get him killed. Clarence Williams III, Danny Trejo and Donal Logue play Gabriel's henchmen; Dennis Farina, Isaac Hayes, and Ashton Kutcher also highlight the supporting cast.

1:09 this is my all time me favorite Christmas thriller but doesn't anyone find it odd that Gabriel would consider what rudy was saying at this point considering how much he was lying to him and gang. Still great movie.

1:59 I love the way when Karen Jennings from Trapped (2002) had finally shot Detective Jimmy Shaker in the head from Ransom (1996), Which it already came from the 2000 action-packed holiday film called Reindeer Games. You know that the movie was already directed by the late John Frankenheimer. Isn't that awesome?

I'm just glad she's now a mother even though she couldn't biologically badging she adopted😊😅 and I'm just happy about that that shift adopted black children

That type wait-a-sec moment only makes sense when Gabriel is able to verify the inconsistency independently, here it's just her word against his. For all Gabriel knew, Rudy really could have told Ashley about the shank in private and is now cleverly pretending he hadn't to stall for time.

Okay lol so let me get this straight. The real Nick was talking to a girl that calls herself Ashley. Nick purposely showed Rudy the letters cause he knew Rudy wanted what Nick and Ashley had together. Ashley hits up these truckers and she makes this deal with a guy calls himself Monster that she has a guy in prison Nick that knows the layout of a casino he used to work at. So they come up with the plan she would write him in jail and when Nick gets out play it off as there brother and sister and her brother found the letters that way Nick would be forced to work with Monster and help Rob the casino. Ashley knows Rudy not Nick so she helps Rudy along to keep up the persona. Once the casino gets robbed kill Nick. Only thing is Rudy fake Nick figured it out and she was forced too kill both Rudy and Monster right away. In my opinion it was smart real Nick faked his death no record of him no record of Ashley casino gets robbed everyone thinks it was five Santa’s not a girl and a guy that’s so called dead. Only flaw is if Rudy didn’t take the bait this whole plan wouldn’t have worked

It is indeed a very preposterous plan where a million things could have gone wrong. But sure enough if you remember all those details, then you would also remember when Nick was tying up Rudy in the car, he tells him they would’ve still gone through with the plan even if Rudy didn’t take the bait. Ashley/Millie would have had to convince the gang they could rob the casino without Rudy’s help

Yes, it's the dumbest plot ever. The second that Ashley/Millie/Whatever mentions the shiv the movie goes from being a relatively enjoyable crime thriller to a ridiculous convoluted mess. It's like that one South Park episode where the boys play at being cops and everyone keeps double crossing each other for no reason. Except South Park is a parody and this is supposed to be serious.

Reindeer Games movie is good with Ben Affleck, Charlize Theron, Clarence Williams(RIP). Charlize made me laugh when she killed Gary with a gun LOL. Charlize is hottest white movie actress.
