Thank you! My intimidation-ness(?!) is about 90% less after watching this. I've been using Serato for about 10 years, but Rekordbox is mapping better to my DDJ-FLX4, so moving over, and this helps a lot!

Hey, just getting started with this software. Seems quite complicated. Serato on a previous controller seemed to work more automatically. But you really describe everything really clearly here. By the end of the video, all the pieces sort of start clicking into place. This will help me grasp the software. Thanks for the helpful vid!

Hi Deep. Excellent tutorial video. I got a new DDJ-FLX4 three months back. I downloaded rekordbox and just pasted the folders as it is by drag and drop method. I also got some music in rekordbox from my friend's pendrive through import mode, but i dont have the original file for it. I wanted to know is there any way i could re-install the rekordbox software and start all over again as explained by you by creating folder and playlist without losing any of the imported songs from the pendrive? Thank you once again for the tutorial video.

Thanks a lot for this tutorial, it was very helpful. I just need to ask a question, i have created the playlists and everything you told i have checked on the key analysis and phrase analysis too, but i can't see key analysis, i can only see in your tracks or some 2-3 other tracks, is this because all other tracks have not been downloaded from the right sites or i have not purchased them?

I am very new to this and this is a great help. However moving the bar to the start of the waveform/track means all my hot queen points are now in the wrong place on so many tracks. Took me so much time setting them, and now I’ll have to adjust every one by a small amount 😩🤯🤯

Hey bro, nice video. Sorry a stupid question. After I've my music in my "New Downloads & Sortings" folder, first I'll move it to the right place in the specific "Rekordbox Playlists" sub- folders - like House Music. After that I'll import it to Rekordbox software Playlists. Am I right or a little confused bro? (And Yes I watched your other video where you taught how to make sub holders and stuff)

I have a question. So for example you put all of your music in the 'All Bollywood' folder and the punjabi folder would be empty because you are using a playlist for that folder. So in my case i would make a House Music Folder with all my house music and the subfolders like Techno, Tech House will be empty since i'm doing that in rekordbox? Because you told in the video that otherwise you have the same track double, aka 1 track in all house music and a duplicate in the Tech House folder. I can't wait to start this out, i used itunes before. Thanks for your videos, keep it up

Would i be able to use performance mode in version 5 without a licence. I had it installed and i was given 30 days trial to use the performance mode whereas i heard is free in rekordbox version 6

hi. i really enjoy your videos. i'm a super beginner and wanted to know if you have a video using the "performance" option using the computer since I use a DDJ400. Also, how do you load music to rekordbox using an external hard drive and not the computers storage? do i need to load all my music in my computer or can i play using my external HD? thanks

Interesting question. Any track you want to play from any source has to be imported into Rekordbox to play in the software. :)

Hi DJ Bhamra . I have a question .i have ripped a CD and converted to MP3 no problem, Then i have named the tracks and the artist so i know what track is , But the problem is when i import the tracks in to rekord box the description of the tracks and the artist just reverts back to " Unknown Artist" & just a track number , But no artist or song title ??.Do you have any ideas why its not carring over the track info into rekord box? Any Help would be appreciated Thank You.

For recordbox software doest 8gb ram and i5 processor is enough for smooth performance (in Windows laptop)

So, one question that I have that unfortunately you didn't answer is the following: I have already made playlists in my Collection, and when I update the playlists with new tracks what is the best way to update the playlists on the USB's? Is it simply hitting "Sync manager" - will it update only the new tracks or will it erase that playlist and replace it with the updated one? I'm afraid of doing it this way because I have USB's with music from another computer, e.g. I have two USB's with a "Deep House" playlist. USB A has tracks from my older computer + my new one, while USB B only has tracks from my new computer. I don't want the tracks from my old computer on USB A to be deleted when I update the playlist on that same USB.

Hi bro I have a problem with Recordbox software. After creating the folder and loading some tracks on playlist. While on playing nearly for 15 to 20 min automatically the tracks which I loaded on playlist disappears except the folder 📂 and playlist I can see.. on the navigator. But all the tracks gets disappeared from the Playlist. Could u please help me to soughout this issue.

Great video Deep! Just a query that does Rekordbox requires internet connection all the time to analyse tracks or one can do it offline too? Also what if I lose my laptop & login into a new laptop, will rekordbox have my data saved in it?

It can work offline as well. Unfortunately Rekordbox doesn't save any data on the servers for free. You'll have to store it locally. Or opt for one of their subscription plans in Rekordbox v6

But I...it would be nice if the android app also works on audio. On my Lenovo sound is way over clipping and change buffer size is not working , nomatter how I set it . If connected to DDJ FLX4, master out also clipping / distortion, so I can't use it ..app needs to bel ooked at again.

I love rekordbox but the only thing that I can't stand is that the bpm's are totally wrong especially with hip hop music I find myself changing beat grids way to much if they fix this issue it would be rock solid for me to use regularly

How are you doing. I imported and down some music into Rekordbox 6.0.1 , Had a 60th part on 06/06/20 and there play list couldn’t be played. Lucky I had listen to and keep Rekordbox 5 just in case or I would have been in a nine. Thank you. Now maybe you could help me with this issue.

Hello I just this weekend started to get a recording error message on my rekordbox screen I can't record my DJ sets now. This is the message I got today. Invalid operation: To retrieve set location to save the recorded file in (Preferences) I have hod no problem recording until today. Do you have any information to help me solve this error. You will have to reset your recording file location.

Awesome very informative and straight forward, thanks for sharing this. I do have one question that you did not focus on, the performance vs export mode. I know the export mode is used to put songs on a usb; but if I can put memory cues in both performance mode or export mode, which one do I go for? I’ve been using performance mode with ddj 400 and then I realized you can do a lot of the same actions in export mode as well, so I’m just in limbo wondering ok so what now do I continue working in performance mode or the right way is actually playing in export mode, thanks.

Performance mode wasn't available for all in Rekordbox 5 and when this video was made. However export mode was free to use for anyone hence I showed export mode only.. It's absolutely fine to use Performance mode to prepare your track as well. It's just a personal preference.
