Today we return to the topic of John Bowlby's attachment styles and see some insights into the style defined as anxious-ambivalent which, as I mentioned in the last episode, often tends to involve subjects with a predominantly avoidant style.
Unfortunately, those who have this functioning usually experience new situations with a certain degree of anxiety, but often, unfortunately, this anxiety remains even when situations become consolidated.
The fact of experiencing these states of anxiety pushes the anxious person to continuously search for certainties and confirmations from the partner and, unfortunately, this tendency often becomes counterproductive, as it disorientates the partner, especially if the latter has an avoidant style. , leading him in many cases to perceive too serious a burden in the relationship and to distance himself.
