The Brew Metric is a perfect example of what's great about Microbrands. It's odd, it's funky, and most other brands wouldn't dare to try. Yet in the end, it's one of the best Meca-Quartz Chronos I've seen.

"Personality" is a good way to describe the design of this watch. Like it or dislike it, not too many people will forget meeting [seeing] it. Not for me. But I respect and appreciate companies like Brew and StudioUnderd0g having a specific design language and not being afraid to stick to it.

You have a way of winning me over to your train of thought. I do believe this is a visually stimulating watch. Doing what microbrands do well, simplistic originality with a nod to the past. Yes by the end of the review I want this watch in my collection. Well done Shane.... again.

If I were a bigger guy and not pasty white; I would go for the gold one in a heartbeat. It has that 70s "I'm gonna break your legs" vibe to it. That watch and a couple of gold chains would be classic 🤠

Great Review! I had seen this watch for a while. I kept looking at it and it's beautiful. I knew I wanted one, well "had" to have it. I recently went to the NYC Watch Show and there it was right in front of me. My husband saw my face and the joy! He purchased it for me instantly and I'm over the moon happy! I can see myself wearing this for many years to come. I ❤️ Brew!

Bought one for my daughter’s college graduation (the 8 bit version) because she worked her way through school as burrista at Starbucks. The quality is amazing. And it is such a good watch which doesn’t take itself too seriously. Great vid!

Nice review. I've been trying for a couple of years to decide if I liked these or hated them. Teddy Baldassarre is the only one I've ever seen review them and seems a big fan.

I have been wearing this watch in these exact colors for almost two years. Still like it a lot. I very much concur with all that‘s been mentioned in the review (btw, really nice to give a watch a second review after a period of using). However, those hands can be very hard to make out in difficult lighting or at a quick glimpse, especially when over the bright sub dials. That‘s my only gripe. Have been swimming with it all summer, though, and the watch kept out the water just fine.

I really like it. Just bought the PVD black version with an additional brew leather strap which is shaped just like the bracelet so it looks seamless with the case unlike the brown strap in this video

These Brew things look so interesting that I really tend to buy one, whenever I see a review. The good thing is, that I just ordered a Wise Hitman today. This prevents me from doing it now. Let’s see, when the day comes when I can’t resist anymore. 🎉🕐🍸

I got to see this in person at the Wind Up Watch Fair last year, and it's been almost a physical struggle to not buy one for myself. Maybe once I finally get an Underd0g watermelon and a few of my dad's old watches repaired... Also, count me among the "24hr subdails are useless" crowd.

That might be tricky since it's a more unusual lug width. I've got a few 20mm straps, but no 19 that would work. I'm sure someone out there sells one though.

Like the asymmetrical dial, hate analog chronos. Like the color palette, hate the "old tv" shape. Like it on strap, hate 19mm lug. PS Got a coin? Tails i like, heads i hate it😉

But my question is: Why is your Apple watch frozen at that "screen"? Needs update??😋😂 Ok, joke aside, i can understand the appeal of such watches, not this though. I'm bit of a weirdo in fact, as i'm a notorious hater of all analog chronographs(!!!), not that much a divers guy (as you....were???😏), LOVE plain 3 hand(ers), plus quite like squares (or any weird shape indeed), still Brew doesn't ring a bell. On the good side, you just got a new subscriber! Romania has a very soft spot in my heart, plus i like your narration and themes/vids. Funny enough, i was watching your last SOTC vid a few days ago. Wise.... (pun intended!😂😂)

Hi, I understand that these watches have a stated lug width of less than 20mm. Are you able to confirm if aftermarket third-party straps made for 20mm lug width watches can fit between the lugs of this watch?

I mention it in the video, but no 20mm won't work. All the straps I use are 19mm

I assume so. They just ignored it and covered it up.

I'm guessing that the small post used for the 24 hr subdial hand was removed before the dial is put on the movement.

But how often do you actually do that? That's been the main reason I never got one. I just don't think I'd use it for that or txt. I'd rather just pull out my phone for a better experience. It's in my pocket anyways.

you know what they say - happy wife, happy life. Pray to the gods she doesn't claim it as hers... or maybe you should. So you can get another watch (different model, etc.) and just "borrow" the Metric from her when you feel like wearing. Buy wife-specfic straps while at it if she does. Because again, happy wife, happy life.
