Relaxing And Satisfying Horse Shedding ASMR!

I decided to try a little something different with today's video and bring you an ASMR video with the sounds while I am shedding out my horse Frisby. No talking, no music, just the sounds of the grooming tool and the birds and wind in the background.

Lol as a horse owner i can tell you it does. My mare falls asleep while i deshed her, then she gets a shave down in early spring

I do too. It's just SO ANNOYING that it gets on ALL of your cloths then you turn into a horse cuz you have so much hair on you.

Oof, it's the same when it comes time for my two pet house indoor cats to be brushed out my own mother gets it up her nose and in her eyes and mouth too cat fur wise anyway though that is of course.

Very satisfying!!! Can you do this with a high pressure jet of water from a nozzle? It works wonders on dogs to strip the undercoat out.

Yes, but you need to be careful on horses because in certain areas, their skin is extra sensitive. But I do that on my horse and it works really well in some areas. But in shedding season it’s too cold to use the hose.

Pretty much all the time, lol. Not as much as in the video though. When they shed this much it’s usually when they’re shedding their winter coat, getting ready for spring and summer.

Yep. It sure is. They sure do really like it, so yes, it is like scratching them.

It's an involuntary reflexe meant to scare insects away. This is a reaction to light touch. I guess it's like tickling for the horse, therefore it might be enjoyable up to a certain point and annoying over some threshold, but it's definitely not painful.

Yeah, and it's fun to sometimes lightly touch their bad small spot area. I did that with my horse friend, Star, many years ago way back when I was still a young little kid just now barely big enough to reach that area on the horse and well... Star didn't apparently like that, and so I ended up getting horse tail hair being swatted in my face, which stung a little bit and had me saying, "Hey! In response to that, but I guess this was just my horse friends' way of saying, "Quit it or stop that to me, I guess." Oh well, lesson learned.

Cushing is also called PPID, and it is a disorder effecting the pituitary gland.

His coat does not look healthy… are y’all not treating his rain rot as well? Plus it seem as if he needs a bathe !!

Frisby has Cushings - also called PPID. He is on prescription medication for this condition and is monitored by my vet. He doesn't have rain rot. I would encourage you to do some research on Cushings in horses.

As for the bath part, you can remove all that dirt with brushes and grooming, and if hes shedding his winter coat, which it looks like he is, its most likely going to be too cold out to bathe him, and its kinda useless to give them a bath unless its before a show, because horses love to roll, which is where that get all the dirt on them from. The dirt is also much easier to remove when dry and witha brush such as a curry comb, because if you were to use water with that much dirt it would just create a muddy mess, and im pretty sure most people groom their horses before bathing them, as to not have a muddy mess. As to yourother questions, ask the owner about them and please get further educated on horses before making such assumptions.
