Great video. Jerkbaits are tough. I also do not excel at them. Although both tournaments I have won involved jerkbaits. If you are going to be up in the Seattle area in May-Mid June I would love to take you on Lake Washington. It is one of the best fisheries in the state in that window.

Nice rods bro! You got to get some of our new GLX rods! I got on a nice lipless bite last weekend at Hagg and got about a 3 lb largemouth on a spinnerbait and a 2 lb smallie. First time fishing the lake.

Thanks Jesse! I was able to snag one of them in the 954 FPR from Ryan before heading down to Clear Lake and it feels unreal! A 7’11 rod should not be that light. 😳 Too bad there wasn’t a good flippin’ bite for me. 😂 Hoping to get my hands on some other models soon. That’s awesome! I heard last weekend was good with the nice weather!

Oh definitely! I like to fish as hands free as I can. But it’s also dependent on where too. I can usually just have the motor slowly going and fish hands free but sometimes I like the full stealth approach and will use my drive.

The weather will do that to the lake and I love taking advantage of it! We were not far from each other most of the day just to leave some water in between. No sense in crowding around each other!

It definitely looks a lot better on video since the fish were aggressive this day. I’m happy to gain some confidence back but we will see when the fish are a little more timid!

What rod and reel setup are you using for the Shimano world minnow?

I don’t have a dedicated jerkbait rod (I will after how much fun I had) but it was a G.Loomis GCX 843 CBR. So a 7’ medium power and moderate action. Reel is actually a JDM Shimano Scorpion 150 size.
