@@Panth0n V70 is much safer too. I have had 2 940s and a PH2 V70. Both fabulously comfortable vehicles, well equipped and nice to drive. V70 pips the 940 with it safety ratings and crash test footage. Whereas the large load bay of the 940 and it's brilliant turning circle make it more practical. Both brilliants cars that I would have again

Usually, these sorts of things from the year 2000 presenting themselves and the current style look naff and dated to us now, but somehow all the modern-day ques in this advert still look current and modern despite it being 20 years old. I suspect it's thanks to the general Scandinavian minimalism at every opportunity. The 2000 parents are wearing plain, fairly boring for the time clothes, the 2000 TV is on a white wall with a simple and elegant vase next to it, the V70 still looks sharp when it's presented as a new car rather than the battered high milers on Autotrader. Even the fonts at the end are fairly simple and elegant. Completely what you wouldn't expect from the late 90s. The moral of the story is that if you don't want to be laughed at in 2040, look to architects and Scandinavians for advice.

That's the problem when they switched to front wheel drive, suddenly you couldn't turn the wheels as far and the turning radius really suffered a lot. The RWD 940 has a turning radius you would expect in a Yaris...

L15EWT doesn’t matter whether it’s awd or not, the front wheels are driven regardless. Not only the front wheels being driven but also the transversely mounted 5 cylinder engine limits how far the wheels can turn.

I avoid loving a car, just take care of it, it will bring family and friends safely on the road. I have a V70 mk3 , and it is a "good beast" but I "try to" not keep too much attention to it. Nowadays, there are all kinds of vacuum cleaners humming around. And nothing bad about that, but need to check that, use up, what you have for transport. If a car has very high mileage all kind of issues been fixed on the way.

If not do not assume it is my maintenance and not the car. My wife had survived 2 crashes in the Volvo wagons. I have a '92 240 in the yard. By the way, I had a 2001XC with 40K miles need 2 transmissions. I tried another with 200K and replaced the transmission and the engine. I am driving a 2002XC with new rebuilt engine and replaced transmission. Tell my mechanic he does not know how to do maintenance; I think he knows more about cars then your simple comment. @@kdwing88888888 hey dumbass, I own a 2001 v70 t5, a 2006 s60 t5, and a 2004 S60R. It's you. I put over 200k miles on EACH. original transmissions and original engines, just fine. Volvo uses THE SAME ENGINES in all models, I know. I do my own work. I've owned plenty of cars and MAINTENANCE is what kills them. The CL65 AMG in my videos had over 160k miles when I sold it, NEVER NEEDED A TRANS,. people like you, who don't do trans fluid changes, volvo uses internal filters, don't change the timing belt as required, every 105k miles per volvo, are the idiots who kill them.

Honestly as much as I love my S70 turbo, the V70 wasn't as good of a car. Even with front wheel drive it handled poorly in snow and rain where as my S70 takes me all over Wyoming in even the worst weather. The length making it rather squirrelly and uncontrollable is a big part but also I noticed later models (my s70 is a 98 the V70 was a 2006) had wider tires. Instead of cutting through snow, wider tires have a tendency to try and PUSH the snow. Sam reason a Korean War surplus Willys Jeep can out perform most custom built rock crawlers. With rear wheel drive the few 245s I have driven I the past handle much better I the rocky mountain blizzards I am accustomed too. Lastly, to think they try to start off with the Amazon in this is absurd! Honestly, hands down I would much rather have the Amazon wagon. Easier to mechanic on nd bang a wrench against also!

I will tell my 70 year experienced mechanic that he is all f**ked and a lier. He has performed all required maintenance to no avail. Please read other posts on similar experiences. Why are these models having special needs over all of my other Volvos? By the way, both cars have failure CPU modules. One engine already shows cam wearing after recent engine replacement. My choice is replace the cars or replace my wife who is attached to these pieces of junk.
