It's not really all about intelligence, although it does play a role. The main thing is to have the courage to question your own beliefs and what you were taught. Alot of intelligent people just can't bring themselves to question their religion because they were taught that questioning is wrong and blind faith is good. Daletia It's actually not the same both people in the video are advertising places of residents (locations) while real religion (Christianity at least) advertises God, a relationship with God, and everything that comes with him which just so happens to include heaven. The video actually makes a point worth noting, I have seen some conversations between atheist and Christians, and quite a few of them are lacking personal testimonies (which is something so important that people will believe it over physical evidence or lack thereof) one of the reasons Jesus was so saught after by people was because people talked about him and what he did.

I think most of you do not realize that the motivation for christians to live a good life and help others is not hell. If you study the old vs the new testament you will see how what jesus says and thinks is so different than what is written before. We are not living a life of fear, we are not making decisions based on ohh, I would do this, but then I'd go to hell so nahh. For example, you see a toddler on the street alone, why don't you murder her? Are you just afraid of prison? Or are you just a better person than that? Our motivation for good is simply to do good, and nothing more. God is not a policemen we fear, but a parent we love. We have a relationship with him, which is loving and trusting and we find him within ourselves. And in the end, if he doesn't exist, then what? We lived a life full of good, love, respect, happiness, and care. It is not about the afterlife, or not just about that. I hope you understood it, my english is a work in progress.

And faith healing... please. If faith healing were even real, people would not flock to hospitals. We would be flocking to the churches because instant miracle healing is by far more appealing than living in a hospital to recover from any myriad diseases that your god allows to ravage mankind unhindered.

Supernatural means immaterial, the problem with this, is that supernatural things are not testable or observable. They are not scientifically provable. We don't know that immaterial things exist, but we know that material things do, so when proposing a cause for something, even if we don't know what that it, it is only logical to assume that it is material, which is not supernatural. Since your god is immaterial, the same explanation can be used to prove the existence of other gods, so why specifically choose the religion you believe in, when the same explanation to prove god exists can be used for any religion? The problem with omniscience is caused by free will. If god knows everything, he knows what we are going to do, he knows what we want, so why pray, if he knows what we are going to do, then free will can't exist. Free will is used to define the power of evil. Then, omniscience itself is paradoxical. Let's suppose that you are an all-knowing god, you might think you know everything, but if there is anything you don't know, then you aren't aware that you don't know it, meaning that you don't know if you know everything, so that means, there is something you don't know. If god knew Adam and Eve were going to eat from the tree of knowledge even if he didn't want them to, then why keep it where they can reach it, why even make it exist? They recognized their mistake after that, but they didn't know before that, god made them so they make mistakes and don't know that they're not supposed to do it, so that makes it his own fault, so why did he punish them? Omnipotence is also not possible, as can simply be put like this, could god create a stone even he couldn't lift? If he could, then he can't lift it, not omnipotent, if he can't, then therefore that also isn't omnipotence. Omnibenevolence is not possible, if he is omnipotent, then is capable of everything, but if he is omnibenevolent, he shouldn't be able to do evil, so that disproves omnibenevolence and omnipotence by itself, but let's look at a few examples, in the bible. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. (Isaiah 45:7) If god is responsible for everything, like your faith says, then he is responsible for evil, this disproving omnibenevolence again. What about when god inflicts plague on Egypt? Burns two cities, even the children, who were innocent? Now, some may argue that all god does it good, thus making morality defined by god. Does that make genocide and enslavement good and morally justifiable now? Should we stone kids who don't listen to their parents as stated in Deuteronomy 21: 18-12? Kill people for working on Sunday as said in Exodus 31: 15? Now don't give me the Old Testament excuse. You follow the 10 commandments? On God's ominiscience, you're incorrect; God being omniscient doesn't exclude man's free will. On God's omnibenevolence, that's not biblical. Christian lives in the new covenant where punishments of the torah are still morally correct, but the execution of those just punishments are postponed and will be executed in the judgement day by Jesus. But there will be no judgement and punishment for sins for us, who have received in faith Jesus as the atonement for our sins. This is the time of grace - don't waste it!
