RIP James Casey. Played with all his heart and soul. You can see Billy giving him a big nod and smile during that jam at the 7:08 mark and Santana smiling to him around the 8:00 minute mark. Always a joy to hear James play.

Jerry got much of his melodic sensibility from playing bluegrass. Billy has incredible melodic sensibility from bluegrass playing and it transfers to electric so nicely. Hope to see him do more of this in the future.

Not sure about Billy Strings, but the Dead and Santana played together plenty - seen them in 87 together with Carlos sitting in on "Good Morning Little School Girl" and "In the Midnight Hour". Great stuff right here. Id take this over Dead and Co any day

I missed the livestream.. s this is a real treat... the band is amazing... what Carlos brings to this Scarlet is a delight ... Billy’s solo work is great.. the sax player... all of them I really like this band... Hope they go on a tour... I’d love to see them live...
