Those are Kingsmoulds. But that's right, Collector looks almost exactly like Kingsmould without armor. And is a Void being that can be created only by Pale King which is an interesting thing but never explained in any way as far as I know.

9:21 Actually the pale king just disappears when you return to the throne room. It's somewhat unsettling. It has nothing to do with cheats.

He didn't return though, on this save file it's the first time he's been there. So the Pale King simply doesn't appear unless you do the White Palace the right way.

THEORY: The second secret room is actually the nursery room where the Hollow Knight grew up: - The music has a somewhat nursery tone (the ones you use to make babies sleep). - The chair was not for the king, but for the queen (the shadow in the chair has her characteristic roots). - The chest is his toy chest.

This always cracks me up because hollow knight was a perfect vessel but then he nurtured them which in turn made the hollow knight not hollow anymore

In my opinion, vessels didn't grow up in the white palace, but I agree that is the room of a baby: in my opinion that's Hornet' s room, cause we know she had 3 mothers and the main one was the white ladt (she was born by Herrah, but when she became a dreamer Hornet was given to the white lady and trained in the Beenest from the bee queen, which also explains why there are chairs in a place where bees live

I followed your path today. At 7:14 when you drop down you can actually jump back up. I just jumped to the wall and bounced off from it back up. Thanks for the video though. Helps a lot trying to find all these secret areas :)

You can, in fact, double jump up to the exit of pale king's workshop. I used the video to get there (I think this is the one spot I missed) and was able to jump high enough to wall jump off the lip of one of the walls to get back up

Tip: if you equip hiveblood and grubsong, you can die to spikes, recharge your health, then focus to get a new mask filled. You can cheese the entire palace that way.

I got to all the secret rooms thanks to your help Relyea. Also after you drop down from the kings workshop exit you can get back up and go into the room through the exit.

I have a trick that helps you skip a lot of the white palace, at 2:26 there are 2 light posts and you can pogo and double jump on the first one and skip the spike platforming stuff to make it quicker. But if you mess up than you can’t do it until the palace is refreshed

I’m terrible at hollow knight boss fights but I actually really like white palace, I find it kind of easy tbh, we all have our own strengths I guess. I’ve only just beat the game today but I can’t seem to get radiance and I still haven’t beat Grimm lol

You can tell in the pale king's workshop that the collector was originally a kingsmold. There are the same number of arms in the hole and it is the same size.

You can actually get to the first secret room by jumping twice + wall jump when ure under the exit of that same room. Just tried it now and it works! It's easier and quicker. Thanks for the video keep doing this good content it rly helps a lot ahahah this game's hard xD

Hi! In the colosseum of fools there is an unused metal trapdoor next to the bench. (i think its a trapdoor because you can pogo on it). I think whats under there is the stuff they left out of the colosseum because of time (i think this is where you were supposed to "uncover the mystery of the colosseum" quoted from the kickstarter). Can you check it out with your fancy hacks? Thx! You can even make a video on it if there is a room trigger there and you have no other video ideas :)

At 5:18 you can actually double jump dash and then there will be a ledge that you can wall jump on to get up there without needing to do all the extra stuff
