@@littlesammyf7380 - well, because the device is nothing but a beautiful brick without wifi. The device itself is great, love the drawing capabilities, the look of it and the quality feel. HOWEVER, unless you have wifi access where you don’t have to press on “connect” you will NOT be able to share any files, period. I travel for a living and stay at dozens of hotels all over the world. Every single one of them asks you to sign in to the wifi - usually your last name or room number, etc. some kind of password maybe and then you click on OK or sign in. Standard practice EVERYWHERE!! Be it Starbucks, other cafes, restaurants, subways, public wifi connections, etc., etc.. they ALL make you click on connect one way or the other to, you guessed it, get connected. This device however has NO capability of doing that because it doesn’t have a browser, not even a mini-browser just for log-ins. I’ve had this beautiful device with me for almost a month now, have stayed in 14 hotels in 6 different countries and unfortunately have not been able to share a single document or file I’ve created with any of my colleagues. NOT ONE! All because I can’t log on to wifi.. I tried at all of my hotels, numerous cafes and also other venues which had wifi access. No luck. This is a device created in Norway. Right next to Denmark, the country where Bluetooth technology (and name) was invented, and yet this device does not have sharing capabilities without wifi. It just blows my mind.. I could (possibly) share documents using their “experimental” (their wording) usb to computer file transfer but I’d need to have a computer or laptop with me. I don’t bring one because the whole purpose of this device was to travel lighter. Also, their support is a total joke, I’ve now waited almost two weeks for a reply, I’ll probably have to return it but don’t know how since I’m on the road and left the packaging that came with it at home in the US. (Won’t be back for two more weeks) I waited months!! for this device. Yes, I’m VERY disappointed. 😔

also i think your arm was touching the display at 14:38 and interfering with the pens touch. just throwing that out there for anyone who sees this and has the same issue repeatedly

All reviews I have seen have indicated that it's worth the upgrade. I ordered it and - while I get my device later this month - I know I won't regret it.

Greg did a couple videos on how he used his original remarkable that are older in the channel I posted one but you can search our channel as he did several

Go to 14:20 in the video. He turns the device on from sleep mode while it's in the folie.its essentially instantaneous. however, I don't think it opens a new notepage by default, but rather, it will open up what you had open last. If you have a big notebook open most times, it should be as quick as the video shows. Hope that helps.

@@Prism684 the only way is the remarkable app as far as cloud goes. They claim they use end to end Google Cloud encryption for their services, but obviously some IT departments will not allow this device for that reason. You can always use it offline and without the cloud and organize files offline / via email if you want to be extra careful. Either way, I'd check in with IT to hear their thoughts. Imo, it's a secure service. Although if they go out of business, say bye-bye to your notes 😂

@@anarose623 it has internal storage that you can technically use without using the cloud service. you can also access the internal storage without using cloud / wifi by a turning on a setting and accessing the USB web interface (this is a Band-Aid solution, as it is not too user friendly). There's an article on the remarkable blog titled "How to Transfer Files to Your ReMarkable without Wifi".
