According to Ian Flynn Amy is a time jumper/guardian(What Silver tries and fails to be) and is currently going through and repairing alternate timelines that were damaged by an Unknown cause (He hinted it was Shadow's doing) had the Archie Comics not been canceled(nor warped beyond recognition due to a certain someone forcing Sega and Archie to retcon alot of plot points and characters)this would have been explored in future installments

Considering that both future timelines were during Amy's yandere phase, it was a missed opportunity to see how where Amy was. Especially in a timeline where Sonic didn't exist.

2:06 Shadow basically had to marry Sally just to take power of the Acorn monarchy 3:17 It's a neat little Sonic Underground nod 7:30 Average married couple argument 8:44 This future timeline implies that Antoine getting blown up never happens in the first place 9:46 Sonic Adventure 1 Redux 10:22 It's pronounced "Jocks" because it's a French name 10:33 Greatest Southern-French combo since Louisiana 11:53 Exposition 13:06 Too bad the ending of the old continuity and the Super Genesis Wave pretty much wiped this entire alternate future from existence.

Honestly, Antoine was definitely going to recover, it was only a matter of time. The only reason things seemed so bleak on his end was because things were bleak everywhere. And if that explanation doesn’t work for you, honestly, Bunnie could have gotten pregnant with twins before Antoine ‘died’ and we just didn’t know it yet by the time of that stupid Genesis wave.

I know a lot of people who both loved and hated Archie Sonic. Don't let "fans/purists" determine for you the quality of something. Archie Sonic is different, but it's actually pretty good, but like any long running book, it has good arcs and some bad arcs. It must be pretty good overall to last as long as it did, even winning a Guinness World Record for it

What I like about Pre-Reboot Archie Sonic is that Mobius Prime given plenty of lore and history separate from the Sonic vs Eggman narrative. A living, breathing world that isn't solely dependent on those two to exist and events happened without either of them present for it.

I dislike how Shadow is straight up sadistic in this storyline. That's so out of character for him. It's one thing to portray him as violent or mean, but him actually taking pleasure in seeing others suffer is straight up wrong. That's not what his character is. He's Shadow the Hedgehog, not the Joker.

One this isn't main timeline Shadow but an alternate universe version of himself who went mad. Second Flynn mentioned he wanted to touch upon this universe again before the reboot happened so we likely would have learned what drove this version of Shadow mad. Last need I remind you that in Shadow's first appearance ge was content with letting the Ark crash onto their homepage before Amy convinced him not to.

My theory in the continuity Tikal sealed herself into the master emerald with Chaos because Super Sonic either failed or Tikal didn't care enough to try due to the dire situation. After decades of time they became corrupted by the abundance of chaos energy and the only way to contain it was to have Tikal be the main physical body while Chaos ate the master emerald from the inside out. Shadow would see this as an opportunity to weaponize it's power without overloading himself by attempting to pull a Scourge. The result of the fusion led to Tikal sacrificing her mental stability due to hunger for Chaos energy. In return of being a weapon Shadow occasionally give Tikhaos a Chaos spear for a meal and a Chaos blast for when he was desperate for that damn fourth 'ruin'. Any way when Shadow returns in the 3rd issue of the story there is a reason Tikhaos is starved on chaos energy.

Or after sonic generations a remnant of chaos finds its way to the master emerald regaining its original form it rucks chaos against angel island knuckles tries to stop it but in the end Tikal uses the little bit of her spirit (I say spirit because she’s dead) to fuse with chaos and contain it in that orb

@@ashesGeek Exactly. I hate it when people nitpick at the most cringey aspects of Archie's Sonic comic run and act as if that sums it up as a whole. I swear most people are under some sort of compulsion to spread as much misinformation they can about something they dislike. But when you do that to something they love, they bitch and play the victim. I'm not gonna act like Archie's lore and history is flawless but at least it had the balls to experiment and step out of its comfort zone unlike SEGA. There are so many cool ideas and they even expanded upon ideas in the main series. But we don't talk about the cool stuff. Oh no, that would require not being a sheep and thinking for ourselves. Let's instead go on another endless tirade about how Ken Penders made some Nazi Echidnas or his numerous attempts at writing bad romantic subplots. The Chaos Force? The Genesis Wave? Scourge? Enerjak? Mammoth Mogul? Mecha Sally? The awesome Mega Man X Sonic crossovers? Sonic actually being a complex character? Nah we gotta ignore the cool things and meatride the hate bandwagon.

@@utopian4769 I'm pretty sure a lot of people hate Mecha Sally, or at least the arc she's in. Or maybe they're just loud and not numerous. Regardless, I think Archie Sonic is at least worth a try. Even if you don't end up liking it, at least you learnt about something interesting. It _was_ a big part of Sonic's history after all. It was one of the only Sonic media during the 'Sega Saturn drought'.

Am I the only one who’s bother by Sonic having the title king? That’s not the title he should have! The title king is ranked above the title queen. When a kingdom is ruled by a king, his wife is called a queen because that title is below king. But when a kingdom is ruled by a queen, such as Queen Sally, her husband would be called a prince because that’s the title below queen. If the monarch is a queen, then her husband would never be called king because a spouse would never have a higher ranking title than the monarch’s title. It shouldn’t be King Sonic and Queen Sally, it should be Queen Sally and Prince Sonic. The comic treats Sally like she’s a queen consort, but she’s not, she’s a queen regnant. Sonic’s the one who would be prince consort.

If dying for my son TWICE makes me a bad dad then I don't know what to say about you, and don't bring up the senzu bean against Cell because Goku was actually looking at the bigger picture when he did that. If he didn't give Cell the senzu bean he would get desperate and kill Gohan and the rest of the Z-fighters right away. He's not a perfect dad but far from a bad one

Unpopular opinion maybe? Sonic is a dynamic character and he's allowed to do something other than run from things? Everyone grows up someday and he's already someone that values the people he loves, why would that change for children? It actually makes an incredible story to find what he does with that kind of responsibility. I think it's very static of some fans to never look towards the future...

Sonic has comics made in the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Japan (although they call them Mangas there). And in each of these, Sonic is written and drawn in different ways that can make him resemble his characterization from the video games or take his own direction. In the end, the aim is to give development to him and the characters that accompany him. Personally, I adore Sonic's mangas because he acts very comical and playful, almost like a Looney Tones.

I’m gonna be completely real with you, I kinda enjoyed Archie Sonic but this…….is stretching it. Like the mega man crossover was amazing but this is a no.

Tails was actually 11 in this Sonic universe as of to 1 year time skip from when Sonic from his perspective was in space for a month. So there’s only about a 4 to 5 year difference between Tails and Mina who was about 15-16 in the present day timeline.

5:12-5:23 In the Archie Comics, Tails was 11 and Mina was 16-17. Plus apparently, Tails couldn’t do any better than dating one of Sonic’s sloppy seconds under the writing of Ian Flynn.

I like the Archie Books. Even a lot of the weird era. My biggest complaint (besides the many dropped plot points and concepts, and horrendous forgotten details) is just the depiction of Sonic. What can I say. When Sonic is fleshed out and made more into a full 3D “character”, he comes as far more bland and generic. I prefer the Japanese version, which keeps Sonic as mystical ideal

So you're saying Sonic is better when he's simple? I guess that makes sense. He's kind of that perfect role model we look up to. Always positive, friend to all (except the ones who hurt others, and even then he's willing to help them change for better).

@@robertlupa8273 I get that other readers and writers want to experiment and have a more fleshed out Sonic, but to me, I think that goes against everything that makes Sonic who he is. As both his song and his line to Shadow make him out, he’s just a simple guy who loves adventure and does what he thinks is right without thinking of himself as some kind of hero. He’s the embodiment of nature and purity. That’s the character to me

How is that "mystical ideal" sonic any less bland and generic, wtf??? It can work in the more simplistic stories like the classics but in more complex stories, it'll get annoying REAL fast. So sonic should be a gary stu then? 😂

@@yungmuney5903 Gary Stu/Mary Sues are people that are always right, can never lose, and are all powerful. Nothing about what I’ve commented points towards that at all. The best Sonic stories in my opinion (The Storybook Games, Unleashed, and Heroes) don’t portray Sonic as a “Gary Stu”. Even the Adventure games and Frontiers still portray Sonic as “mystical entity” who is a “flat character”. Making Sonic a 3-dimensional character makes him generic and goes against his whole concept
