Hello everybody, and IGP! Wow, thank you so much again for doing a video about my game again, Trenches! You're amazing, always was. It's very overwhelming to see this, It always was a dream of mine to start getting into game development and creating my own horror games as a horror fan, after many struggles and challenges seeing this support really helps out a lot to keep you going. I wish to say thank you to everybody for this! You're all amazing too. It is an honor having my game being played by you IGP again. I just REALLY appreciate it! It's been some couple of hard months but I tried my best to update it with what people suggested. Thanks to all you people who supported me in this project. I have been trying my best and getting feedback from players to try and improve the game. If anyone wants to submit feedback even now, please do! I really like feedbacks and try to implement them. Unfortunately recently I have been busy and had a couple of personal problems (got covid twice now, personal health issues and moving houses etc.) so I apologize as I have not been able to work on the game that much in these last couple of weeks but I still got some plans for the game! So from what I understand: the wife is the monster, since it is missing its hands and head. The daughter is the thing that’s jumpscaring you, possibly, and the son is the fetus dolls.

This game is incredibly underated, it's one of the few horror games that made me actually nervous and uneasy. This game is a 10/10 for me

My grandfather died in the trenches, he was in World War I, he died in honor for our county, his best friend was killed next to him by a mortar explosion leaving almost no trace of his body. My grandfather died alongside his dog who survived long enough to see the light of day after the war. May they forever Rest In Peace

The crazy thing is that this is all a hallucination in the soldiers head and you hear gunshots after he dies because he was shot to death by the Germans, not killed by a monster. The details of this game make it so much more horrifying!

A few things I like about intense games; is facing our fears, traveling places especially within the environment, collecting some fun clues for getting answers to complete the game, and experiencing scary adventures.

This heavily reminds me of the game 1916, for those that don't know, it was an Indie game released in 2011 that put you in the shoes of a young German soldier, stuck in the Trenches of World War I as the Allies released their newest weapon: Mechanized Raptors who hunt you, the player, while you try to escape. Ammunition is limited and only serves to stun the Prehistoric enemies for a few moments.

I love this game. Truly suspenseful and terrifying. And it just got even scarier

Never noticed this before, at 8:28 you can see footprints appear on the wet wood when the footstep sounds play... interesting.

This game makes me feel like I'm being giving a sort of insight of what it feels like to have war-related trauma. Obviously not to say I suddenly know what it's like in any aspect, but the best way I can think to put it is "war trauma in Layman terms"

it might be different playing it over watching it, but unfortunately I feel like these are one of those games that start out strong with the atmosphere but then rely on the jumpscares waaaay too much, which I feel was quite evident by IGP just rushing about after a point, even expecting the scripted jumpscares - all that said, still very entertaining to watch IGP play, screaming and all lmao

This is one of the best horror games I've ever seen, they structure it so you don't constantly see the monster making it reveal itself and instead let the ambience do most of the work scaring the living daylights out of you.

IGP, I have never been more terrified of anything than this monster. I literally almost started crying out of fear when your character was caught in the corner.

I have ptsd (not from combat though) and this game is a good portrayal of it. The sounds being triggering, the hypervigilance, images flashing in your mind, and the fear is so accurate

Horror games are so much better when they use your Mic. I remember when I played Alien Isolation and the alien walked past me while I hid under a bed. After it passed I let out a sigh and the ass came sprinting right back. Such fun.

One thing I love about the enemy in this game is how it resembles the Lying Figures from Silent Hill 2, while also having its own unique feature that are disturbing in their own right. I'm a huge Silent Hill fan, so I'm always happy to see something like that.

That death scene. It's like as if in his dying moments, everything in game played out in his mind before inivetible death. Purgatory. The regret of leaving his family, to fight someone else's war. Must have felt like an eternity. Still, the battle rages on.

Apart from the cheap jumpscares, this game is incredibly decent so far! Hopefully the jumpscares get improved in future updates.

ok, this game is amazing, but at the same time it has WAY too many cheap jumpscares. some of the jumpscares are fine, but this game just dumps buckets of scares over your head at every turn

This game is a 10/10; also I think its super upsetting and kinda scary to think that when you die in the game your family is better off, based on the ending you'd think that getting home from war is the best outcome, but it turns out letting the trenches get to you is the best option in the long run and that is terrifying.

I forgot how terrible the end of the game was. Honestly, I usually really like your commentary and saying what you are thinking, but when you went silent to get all the babies that really brought out the atmosphere that the dev's made with this game, and it was great. Honestly, the atmosphere alone was much scarier than the jump scares. Maybe they should add bombs more often and distant gunfire.

I’m impressed at how well this game maintains tension. I think it is a combination of the active mic and the random jump scares. You have to stay quiet knowing that something might jump at you at any moment.

There are not many horror games that can make me feel such a feeling like this game can, always putting me on edge and giving me mini heart attacks, yet that only makes me love these games more, the unbridled fear they make you feel as your mind and heart are tested, it makes me only want to watch further ((translation) game is very very good 😌)

The ending of this game is rather sad... PTSD is definitely not a joke and it's sad that after world war one and world war 2 it was largely untreated

14:22, I'm not usually affected by jump scares, but that one...... that one actually got me.

You know people in the comments are saying that after awhile it's easier to get used to the scary elements cause it's the same jumpscares nonstop so you know what to expect. But thinking about it both in media and irl soldiers that experience this level of psychological trama "get used to it" over time and it's scary to think that this could be how they see to world in real life/dreams(nightmares) and they think it won't get better and so are stuck to thinking that this is as good as it's gonna get in life and experience this cycle of hell forever without getting help. This hit me the second it stopped being scary but now this surreal feeling just hit me like a brick when I thought about what I just said..............it hits hard to realize this is how veterans suffering from PTSD are thinking and feeling. This game better get some kind of award for this year cause God this game is 10/10.

This is one of the best horror games I have ever watched and the amount of build up to get you tense and then out of nowhere a loud ass scream is all you hear...one of the only things that made me jump in this game...the rest are just disturbing...the end thou was kinda funny

This game would be pretty decent without all the cheap-ass loud jumpscares, if they worked more on getting people unsettled rather than the cheap tactics of making people startled as compared to being actually scared. Great concept but in the end just another FNAF-level 'horror' game to me.
