Brawl Sonic was always the perfect take on “Realistic Sonic” to me. You get the long quills and realistic coloring, fur, and tone of the 06 model, while keeping the proportions, expressions and overall more cartoonish design of Modern Sonic.

Hey, think about it positively. What we got now as realistic sonic in the Sonic Movie is miles better than what we WOULD have gotten if we didn't make a fuss.

@@zkaine7083 Here are the Sonic render redesigns that Sega sadly didn’t use for commercials. 1: 06 sonic - (C/G) 2: Riders Sonic - cutscenes 3: Sonic racing Sonic - Cutscenes (Not 3D) 4: Brawl Sonic - (C/G) 5: Prime Sonic - Show 6: Olympics Sonic - (C/G) 7: Unleashed Sonic - CGI cutscenes 8: Dream Team Sonic: (C/G) 9: Refined SA2 Sonic - mods Refined SA2 sonic doesn’t count as it is a mod, (C/G) and CGI are different. (C/G) stands for Cutscenes And games CGI is Marza animation.

this is just a retexture and porting the ssbb running animation would look bad due to it being asymmetrical

I love Brawl Sonic! Brawl will always hold a special place in my heart for being the game where Sonic joined the roster and thankfully he has become a permanent fixture!

9:16 9:49 I think super smash bros brawl released in 2008 (pls correct me if I’m wrong in any replies) so brawl sonic being in rooftop run and the egg dragoon fight from Unleashed (a mainline 3D Boost Modern Sonic game from 2008) is really fitting!

this is a retexture of the gens sonic model the actual brawl sonic model looks different (for example he has a middle mouth and his quills are thinner)

SSBB has a really over-hated art style, I honestly think it looks better then the plastic cartoon look of 4 and ultimate. People hate the ssbb art style mainly because it’s ssbb, as if the golden boy melee wasn’t also trying to achieve a more semi realistic art style on limited hardware.
