This channel could make such a series, about the heroes of F1. I really would like to see and hear about the stars of the 60's, 70's & 80's.

I'm glad F1 remembers from time to time those who lost their lives. The tragic tale of the 1970 season deserves its own movie so that more people will get to know who he was as a person and as a driver.

There's something very sincere about Seb when he talks about him. I genuinely feel listening to him that he means what he says and it isn't put on for the camera. Seb is, for me, a true gent and champion and it saddens me to see whats happening to his career and what people say about him. Anyway, RIP Jochen and well done F1 on another touching tribute.

This just proves that drivers of the 60s and 70s eras, were more than just men. They were Heroes.

My Aunt dated Jochen Rindt when they were teens her and my dad still tell me loads of crazy stories about him. Not only a great driver also a great friend!

"You know they say we die twice. Once when our last breath leaves our body, and once when the last person says our name" Jochen's legacy will forever live on...

I'd love to learn more about F1 drivers of the past. I've tried to read as much as I could but I wish F1 would release more footage of how it was back then. I love the history of this sport.

I always liked him because his face looked genuine and honest.

Seb the only driver in the grid who can present and discuss about the history of F1 so well thanks to his immense knowledge about the sport and also outside the sport.

Alle Rennwagen waren damals technisch identisch (gleiche Reifen, gleicher Treibstoff, gleicher Motor). Die Rennwagen-Chassis der damaligen Formel 2 waren ebenfalls technisch identisch, obwohl es mehrere Hersteller gab (Brabham, BRM, Cooper, Lotus, Matra). I never had the privilege to watch him race live but i always admired him. He's a legend for us austrians. I always smile when i see a documentary about him. A cool and special thing was that he also interviewed other drivers for the austrian television. I mean, imagine vettel interviewing hamilton after the race ;)

Great Driver my Grandma knew him well great personality great additude Jochen you won't be forgotten.

As a 13 year old, I was fortunate to see Jochen race in the 1969 Canadian Grand Prix at Mosport Park, where he won a podium finish. At that time reportage of motor sport was really thin in the Canadian media, I didn't hear about his passing until I read about it in Road and Track magazine. What a marvelous talent, briefly seen and treasured for my lifetime. Thank you for this tribute.

Of it is Vettel speaking about him. Among current drivers, he seems (or has shown from what I have seen) to be the only driver to fully embrace, appreciate and love all the long Formula 1 history and its daredevil drivers. Know their careers, their driving styles, their ways in detail. Glad they picked Sebastian to speak up here.

Jochen was a truly diamond. Fittipaldi used to talk how talented was Jochen. When Emerson joined Lotus team, Jochen was the great driver of F1.

I’m not young, but Rindt was still before my time. But I found out about him from various racing sims and took it from there.

Thank you for putting this tribute together. It was a nice companion piece to the Beyond the Grid earlier this week. Listening to the raw emotion and anguish in Jackie Stewart's voice really gives you a sense of what a special person Jochen was. It would have been a pity that his legacy and tragic death 50 years ago wasn't marked in some way. Hopefully, he will be the only F1 champion to win the crown posthumously. RIP Jochen.

It's been 50 years, and people born the next millennium knows his name and his story. That is legacy.

thanks for posting...watching Rindt drive at the 1970 Monaco GP was my introduction to formula 1 and I was hooked from then on...

Jochen and Jim Clark were my favorites and I cried when they passed away...

So unreal with how many deaths there were, not only in F1, but in America as well in USAC/Indy cars. Some of the most fearless and brave men in human history, only in the pursuit of victory, it's so crazy to think that they knew the risks and still carried on.

It's great to show that he was so much more than the sport's first (and hopefully only) posthumous world champion

I would love to see more footage from older races, It is however extremely hard to find in any decent quality! Dear Dear Formula 1, It would make these trying times a lot easier, if you could give us some classic races, whole races would be wonderful. anything as far back as you even can scrounge up.

A very empathetic and thoughtful commentary / voice over. I assume it was done by Will Buxton, definitely sounded like his voice, but a completely different tone from the usual "çheeky chappy' persona that he adopts for his paddock and pit lane interviews. He should do more of these remembrance / profile pieces about other F1 greats of the past.

Awesome editing and storytelling video. I have more respect and admiration for Sebastian Vettel now when he is facing an existential challenge. Hope he has the chance to overcome this downfall.

Man F1 drivers and actually racing drivers in general are just heroes. All of them..

Nice video and very informative and very entertaining and very satisfaction.

What is heartbreaking is he was becoming more and more worried about safety in the sport. He promised his wife that his drive with Lotus would be his last and that he would retire. And tragically, he died in Monza when a vital component broke on the amazing Lotus 72. Because he didn't have his dive straps secured, he slipped out of his seatbelt, which cut his throat, killing him. Such a horrible, tragic loss for our sport. I wish I lived through the days of the 49 and 72 cars so I could see him race.
