So what's the reason behind the fact this freight line doesn't exist anymore?

A number of things, really. Trucks going 55mph on the highway could move product faster than the train going 10mph. And by the time the line closed, the mill was the only customer left. The line still exists, it’s just used by Speeder guys. The old SP depot in ione is supposed to be being restored, but our stupid city manager won’t let the volunteers do their work

@@t3swyatt798 I see, and wow I kinda expected the tracks would have been ripped up years ago but nope surprised to know they're still around today but probably of course, not in good shape/condition.
