Chicago’s DJ Rashad was a true innovator in dance music and his untimely death in 2014 left a big hole in the lives of many, from his native Chicago to Tokyo via London. I still think about DJ Rashad a lot. There's a part of me that hopes that there can be a compilation of unreleased tracks he was working on a la Donuts.

This shit has got me tearing up. RP Boo is right: Rashad had the magic touch of soul, truth, and swagger. Its really something special what came out of Chicago. Such a special moment in dance music that made waves across the world, and continues to influence music production to this day. RIP Rashad, and a huge 'thank you' to the orginal Footwork pioneers, and to those who continue to push the sound.

@@RBMA Good lookin' out Red Bull! Could you reupload the DJ Harvey lecture? The one you have on here is f-d up, and the one that worked smoothly has been deleted from Vimeo, so there is no chance to watch it anymore.
