Response video to the negative reaction from creators to news outlets over Remi Bader being denied at a horseback riding stable. Horseback riding is for all body types.

Nope. This vid is a thinly veiled attempt to give credence to Bader’s unfair accusations. Bader said her issue was with their attitude only after the backlash against her started. That kid’s uncouth reaction was due to the hundreds of harassing phone calls the ranch received because she attempted to use her followers to cancel the ranch. His reaction in no way is proof that they treated her badly.

@@HappyTailsAnimals horses aren't made of metal. They are living and breathing beings that can only hold a certain amount of weight based on their own body weight. The wanting to ride a horse should entice her to lose the weight rather than pretending it's everyone else's fault. Site states a weight limit and the weight limit is specifically for the safety of their animals. Her feelings don't outweigh the safety of anyone else.

She made the video for attention and she got it, as simple as that. I have been to a few riding stables in NY and they usually only ask your weight when you arrive. It seems she got upset and quickly made a video without considering the animals safety and then when the backlash started she decided to protect herself by saying it was just the way they informed her. If it had actually been about the business being rude she would have started with that.

I completely agree. Also, they have the information available on the website. I don't think it's possible for any company to FORCE people to read the guidelines, but it's the person's responsibility to read those. Horses shouldn't be harmed to accommodate for someone.

Honestly, both parties handled the situation poorly. Although it was an employee that felt the need to childishly respond to her initial tik tok about the matter, they still represent the ranch in some capacity and it looked really bad as a result. Remi is also to blame because rather than make a verbal response to how she was treated in the situation she decided to write it out, now I can’t convey how a person feels or what point they’re trying to get across so all I can do is read their verbiage and assume. It seemed that her initial intent was to have her substantial following go after the ranch because she never stated how she was treated but rather just stated that because of her weight she was denied service. It wasn’t until people started to respond in a manner she didn’t expect was when she then decided to say it was the way she was treated. To say she didn’t know what she wrote would be disingenuous for anyone of us to say. She’s old enough to explain herself clearly and articulately. Both parties handled this wrongly and now they both have to deal with the end result. Just my thoughts.

No, it's her responsibility to make sure she reads and understands the rules of the establishment she is choosing to visit. My husband is 260lbs and 6'4" we always have to be aware that both his height and weight can restrict what we want to do or how comfortable activities will or will not be. Airplanes suck, go-carting is a no-go and last time we went horse back riding we called the stables to make sure they could accommodate him. Her inability to take into consideration that her excessive weight might impact this activity (an animal CARRYING YOU AROUND) is a testament to her selfish attitude and entitlement.

First off if you’re planning on riding horses then you should be educating yourself on what it that Intels. Her job is literally making tik tok videos. Furthermore one employee does not represent the companies view specially some dumb young kid. If you feel so strongly on defending her why don’t you let her ride your horses

I do have a horse that could carry someone over 240 😉 No, riding lessons entails educating yourself. A tourist attraction on vacation does not. And if your employee makes a statement for the company that was unauthorized, you fix that.

It’s supposed to be 10 percent, in US they already exceed the limit, she couldn’t even ride with an extension…it’s not appropriate for extra heavy people to ride horses…if she cannot figure that out on her own than she must be very selfish…her feelings do not outweigh the health of an animal…she chose to message they would not let her ride, she made the big deal out of it and was ok with her bizarro irresponsible fans attacking the ranch online…one employee, the son I believe spoke up and was rude but that does not mean the whole ranch treated her poorly, he was angry because of how she chose to handle the situation…all those people attack your place of business you get to be mad…I do not like how he handled the situ but he merely said what tons of people were thinking…the lesson here is stay off of the backs of animals if your too big because you can hurt them and if you don’t like it???? We don’t care

But I bean if she weights to much, she could hurt the horse back. She being dramatic about her weight, just because they don’t let you do activities you want to just because pf your weight, it doesn’t mean they are body shaming you, it may be a safety prosedure. It’s like height limits and age limits, necessary, did she even though of the hourse and how she could have damage it’s back. Like in this days everything is about shaming, ugh, this is why I don’t go out.

Yes ma'am, and thank you. Of COURSE we protect the animals, but we also have a responsibility to make sure potential riders as well as stable hands are provided with the information beforehand so they can prepare an appropriately sized horse. Sometimes customers don't read the information given to them, and that's when the staff is trained to speak with them discreetly and respectfully. We don't tell someone something like that in front of their party or other patrons, and we don't post videos calling our PAYING CUSTOMERS names. I think this was definitely a case of doing the right thing, but in completely the wrong way.

Horses' are strong enough to carry heavy loads. Typically, horses can carry up to 400 pounds according to the 20% rule. They can safely carry 20% of their body. For example, larger draft horses weighing about 2,000 pounds can theoretically have someone weighing roughly about 400 pounds on their backs
