I have seen legit service dogs get surprised on a bad day bark at my dog. She was riding an escalator down with her service dog, I came around the corner with my dog and the service dog got startled and trapped. Luckily I was able to redirect my pup, identify and utilize an exit route. These animals and animals, not robots. Unrelated to the above experience, I am a dog behavior professional I have been hired by multiple service dog owners and organizations to deal with reactivity issues. Often it can take only one incident where your service dog gets attacked in a store to undo years of training and work.

Any parrot is a huge comittment. Mine, I've had my green cheeks for 25 years and the person who owned him before treated him as a starter bird and gave him up after year. We've had him since then. The first 6 months he was pretty wild and bitey because the owner abandoned him alot. 30 years is a long time and people don't realize the attention and care they need. Thankfully one of us was not working during that time and he got alot of attention. Conures start getting health issues around age 20 so for between 20-30 it's caring for an older bird. He's my bird, but will seek attention from others at times. He's well socialized and likes strangers, getting crushes on people, especially blond women LOL. He use to talk alot as a juvenile, but slowly over time less so. he likes to watch sports and when the crowd gets worked up and cheers, he say "Yesssssssss" which became his fave word!! Now he uses it when he likes his food, as well as, making lip smacking noises. Male vs female, there are marked behavioral differences like humans.

I made a mistake and helped a chick by putting a hole in the egg, the inside developed fungal infection, so I’ll know for next time if they don’t make a hole themselves it could cause issues . Or next time I’ll help them all the way

I just got my bun bun spayed. It was $675. They gave me critical, a syringe for water and pain meds. She was groggy for a day and then started eating immediately. It was like nothing for however I still doted on her. My rabbit has been so expensive!

Thank you for providing this information. Ive kept Sugar Gliders 20 years and everything you said is spot on. One circumstance that I feel should be discussed is owning a pair that for whatever reason lose a cage mate. Obviously getting another to replace it is what needs to be done, can you advise how to pick one or a pair for prospective adoptees then how to inteoduce them. The Gliders I started with as well as the few I have gotten over time were bought at a pet store where you request the number and sex and you are given a bonding pouch with your request. Since keeping them and breeding some Ive noticed some Glider parents produce much easier to handle Joeys than others. If possible finding a breeder that allows buyers to interact with the Joeys as well as parents of them. That said I believe all Gliders can be bonded with. Bless those willing to adopt adult and older Sugar Gliders. Time , patience and a dont give up attitude will get you and Glider bonded. Allowing them to live their lives totally in a cage with no interaction isnt fair to them.or you. Never lose temper or mistreat any Glider. They are wild captive bred animals and will always retain instinctive traits or habits. They can and do have a painful bite. Suger Gliders bite primarily for two reasons. Fear and selfdefense then if you have more than one cage with mates or families in each they are territorial. If you handle any from one cage do not open or attempt to handle those in a different cage without washing hands and arms well. Mistakenly placing a Glider in wrong cage can result in a violent conferentation and should be avoided. Gliders are , I agree very good pets for the right people. Please take time and do homework before purchasing. I welcome questions and replys. Thanks .

4:18 Its like goats or geese. I had 2 geese once and had one die - as soon as I could, I got several goslings and he helped raise them. (He did have ducks with him until the goslings were large enough to go outside) They will become depressed if they don't have their own kind.

I have loads of reason why I should get a ferret like Having a pet helps teach kids to be a kind person I have plenty of spare time since I don’t do any after school activities School gets in the way but ferrets can last by themselves for longer when they have another ferret with them or you can sleep with a stuffed animal all night and give them that and it will smell like you so they can last longer by themselves I have a small room but I have a whole shelf that’s takes up the space so I would have room for a cage if I got rid of that or I get rid of the boxes in my wardrobe and there is enough room to fit a cage in that and I’ll just keep it open My cats don’t interact with me much so it would be nice to have a pet that I can interact with a lot I did ALL the research on ferrets and know how to take care of them I can clean up their mess I kinda have learned to deal with stuff and just do it My grandparents have a friend who breeds ferrets Some people take ferrets on walks and I can easily do that I know my area well It’s endless fun and entertainment keeping a ferret I already got name(s) I can pay half of it Think this is enough to convince my mum?

Do they all make tons of noise, or just the boys? How do they handle in the snow? I was told that two males will always fight. Is this true?
@HappyTailsAnimals
@HappyTailsAnimals 26 күн бұрын
The females make loud noises as well but not as often. They are ok in the snow but they need to be able to get dry away from wind. Two males will sometimes get along when raised together.
