Well this video doesn’t really cover how the Normans got there in the first place, that happened around 999 when they started out as mercenaries defending against “saracens” in Sicily, then eventually they became more powerful than the Lombard rulers and took power for themselves

Robert was dead for ten years by the time the First Crusade came. Bohemond was in the Balkans fighting Alexios when Robert died. Sichelgaita used his absence to crown Roger as the Duke while Bohemond was now without a father, a home base, money or a goal. Ultimately it was Roger I of Sicily who pushed Bohemond to the Crusade Btw one more unknown fact - Bohemond's actual name is Michael. Bohemond is a nickname like Caligula as there was a giant in the ancient Cotentin folk tales by the name of Bohemond. So the AIMA prophecy.... Is applicable to Bohemond as well
