weird how my vita doesnt give me the option to SKIP when its trying to connect

I thought this video was how to connect without internet

I've actually done this, while at my aunts house, she has no wifi. This is how I do it. Make sure Wifi is turned on, you don't need to have it connected to a network. 1. Log into your PSN account on your PS4, online or offline, doesn't matter. 2. Go to; Settings/Remote Play Connection Settings and then Add Device. Turn off your PS4 controller (IDK why, won't work for me is it's on). 3. Go on your Vita/Phone (I use Vita, don't know about phone) and click on PS4 Link. 4. Click on "Remote Play" and let it give you an error about not being connected to the internet, if it lets your skip, do that, it will automatically have you imput the number displayed on your screen. I usually lay my vita on my PS4, seems to work for me better if it's closer to the PS4 than farther, again, that's for me though. If you follow these steps you should now be able to connect to your PS4 without actual wifi.

So I just used this to direct connect my Vita. But I didn't have a TV, only to PS4 and Vita. So I used sounds and your video to BS my way into directly connecting my Vita AND IT WORKED. (It was already recognized prior to this, so I didn't need the code, just to directly connect it) Thank you!

I actually got it to work perfectly. I did his set up using the hot spot off my phone. As soon as I got to work to the final screen he did I started gta5 and then turned my phones hot spot off. And it kept working. Went to home screen started different games and everything. I even turned my phone off. I'm taking my ps vita slim back to the pawn shop and ordered an old school one for the better screen, so when I get it I'll show y'all how to do it with a little more description. So no, this guy wasn't bs, You need a bit of internet to start but once set up, turn off to save your data.

I bought the vita for 20 bucks at pawn as is the only thing wrong was the analog controls didnt control up and down but i wanted it for remote play so i use the ps4 remote.the analog stick cost 25 for both so still a good deal

its posible with out a internet you can play remote play with ps vita to ps4 with out internet you need to step up this on internet first and try it again with out internet

OK, but a lot of problems appear if I want to do this outside of home. I can't plug ps4 out when it s on sleep mode.

guys i tested it a few hours ago, and it worked fine with no wifi (ps4 or vita). I still had to log in to psn (my vita acts weird. Example: some comments say they needed wifi to do it. Mine did it with wifi turned OFF. Another Example: i didnt hack it, but i can still go on playstation store... away from home... with no wifi... at all.) ok im going off track. going back to what I was saying, I logged in to psn, and opened ps4 link. it took 5 minutes, but after that, it worked fine. it lagged once, but that was it.

You need internet at least once with each devise to set up psn account, ive gotten a ps4 and a vita in the past month niether set up with a psn account and niether can connect without wifi, ps3 can...... But 99% of ps3 games are not remote playable

This feature is pretty rubbish. 2 of my neighbors use channel 6 wifi. remote play is stuck to channel 6 on direct connection. And only 2.4ghz. so the experience becomes horrible. I don't have many close by neighbors. I can only imagine this being even worse in cities.

I tried it and it proves this guy wrong.. either Sony changed it or it depends on psvita version. you evenhave to sign in to psn in psvita. EDIT: It actualy works, you just have to update both then you can turn off internet.

um well I did it and it puts me in some kind of screen were its like xbox smartglass where you can control the ps4 but not play splitscreen
