How to Setup PlayStation Remote Play on the PS Vita

Hi, this video shows you how to setup remote play on the PS Vita from the PS4. It shows you how to connect it up locally and also via the internet using your mobile cell phone WiFi Hotspot so you can use the remote play when travelling away from home.

Thank you so much for this thorough explanation. Whenever I followed other tutorials, they would never emphasize on the settings that one must do in order to be able to turn the ps4 on via internet and all the other stuff. They would just show how to do remote play and that's it. This video here is exactly what I was looking for!

Great video, with only one thing missing from being mentioned. I don’t know if others struggled with this too, but my Vita wasn’t automatically finding my iPhone to use for the hotspot. I had to manually enter the phone hotspot info for it to work (and it took me quite a few attempts for whatever reason). Thanks for the upload!

I don't need Lan. Works perfectly with wifi even on slow mobile connection. I'm just saying it works very well with wifi too so don't be disheartened for those of you that can't do Lan. Iy works incredibly well on Wi-Fi

Man, thank you. I was so upset that it constantly tried to connect via internet and gave me a super grainy, laggy and ugly image when it finally connected. Now I can play in my bed like I used to with all my handheld consoles!

Good video but you're mistaken when you think that it connected via your hotspot. When you have connect directly to ps4 enabled it connects directly to your ps4 via adhoc (the ps4 is making its own wifi signal) so actually you were still connecting directly to your ps4 even when you were connected to your mobile hotspot. That's why the screen of the vita never did say searching via internet because it found it via local adhoc. So if you want to connect via internet when you're still in the same room as the ps4 you'll need to uncheck the connect directly to ps4 check box.
