I really appreciate all the informative reviews. I'm 62, by the time it can arrive, I'll likely be 63. This is my very first scooter so I really needed some reliable information to know if this is really something I want to invest in. 500 is a huuuuuge chunk for me. This is the one I decided on...it looks to be perfect for me. I can't wait...I've had agoraphobia for many years, I believe this will be something very helpful as I continue to heal.

I’ve been riding electric scooters for 9 years. Some would say I made electric scooters cool in dc. I’ve owned some shitty scooters. Some of them were actually dangerous to ride. But I’m happy to say the levy is by far the best scooter on the market. I got one for both of my brother and my gf. We are the levy gang in dc. We are so tight.... The company has amazing customer service. I had a slight problem with my brother’s scooter. The OWNER of the company called me 5 min after I sent him a email and he walked me through how to fix it. I would have thought this was a standard thing for all scooters? I know this was a year ago but I’m amazed this was the first and I still don’t see this feature being promoted in today’s latest models? Why not? It makes perfect sense to me, and has now stopped me from purchasing one of today’s latest models now until I’ve figured out what else like this is out there 👍🏼 thank you for the enlightenment. 🎅🏽

The Xiaomi M 365 is not the number 1 choice today! This Levy with the swappable battery and better ride along with something you did not mention, the upright bar is much more secure (no wobble) than the M365 after 6 months of normal use. And the display with a speedometer make this a no brainer. I would do a new top 5 under 500.00. I like your reviews best of the rest! Just want to see a fair comparison. Thanks

Wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the helpful reviews. I didn't know a thing about electric scooters when I happened on your videos. I have DID with the additional fun of agoraphobia, basically what this means is I have roughly 25 people ages 5 to 25 trapped inside the apartment with me. lol. Seriously though it's been crazy making. I'm 63 and this will be my first scooter of any kind, I love it! Used to have a 750 Kawasaki Vulcan, but that was a bad buy for me, I'm a 5'2" woman, my insane ex got the bike for me and I ruined 2 summers with broken bones cus it was just way too much bike for me, he still thought I should ride it...part of why he's my ex, clearly he was trying to kill me. :) But this?? This is something I will be able to handle easily and get the joy I should have been allowed to find in my bike...I wanted a shadow....oh well, this will help a lot in my voyage to recovery, whatever that looks like. Thanks so much for the assist.

Great review. You sir are quickly becoming the Jeff Bezos of the scooter reviewing world :) Too many cool scooters coming out! An exciting time. This seems to be a variant or rebrand of the HX X7 scooter. Two other companies are selling what appears to be a rebrand as well. Those are the Turboant X7 and Okidas X7 (which also has a 10" wheel option). Levy seems to have the best customer service (as you mentioned in your review) and is probably the best option when buying this design. There are reports on Amazon reviews that the Turboant X7 scooter suddenly powers off while riding. It is believed to be caused by the battery shifting in the stem/pole and losing connection when going over bumps. This hasn't been mentioned by any Levy owners that I know of, but thought I'd bring it up here because the Turboant and Levy are basically the same design. I'm wondering if you had any issues with the scooter suddenly powering off or if you gave it a test over bumpy terrain? Again, great review!!

Did you try the new $750 Levy Pro? Basically has double the battery capacity, giving you a range of 28 miles on Eco mode and 22 miles on Sports mode. Spare battery at $250 and still 3 lbs doubles your range, which I think is awesome. I tried looking for a video on Levy Pro but can’t seem to find one from any of the usual e-bike / e-scooter reviewers.

Do you do any testing on how a different sized rider affects the motor and range? I've heard annecedotaly that for a bigger rider, range with drop off less with a higher watt motor like the Levy vs. the standard 250w in the price range. Wanted to know if you had any experiences.

bought one a fortnite ago got my first puncture so waitin for sum honeycomb wheels to come..other than the nightmare of takin the tyre off and probably puttin it on wen it comes i love the thing will b gettin an extra battery soon as highly recommend🤙🏼ps called the x7 in the U.K.

As the swappable battery is the main feature here. Do you have any insight as to what the average life is of other MFR's built-in batteries and if any of them provide a service to replace the battery for a reasonable cost? I'm looking at either the Uscooter Boost V or the Emove Touring but depending on battery longevity and servicing abilities/cost perhaps the Levy is the smarter buy.

I have the Augment ES10 and it is almost identical to this one except it has 10 inch tires and a slightly different screen. And the company promises a 2 year warranty when you pay for it on monthly basis.

Scooter looks pretty good and I'm sold with the swappable battery but if this only gives you 9 miles then the battery drains pretty fast then. Also, what got me is the tires as I'm not trying to risk getting a flat cause then I gotta go spend more money buying spare tires/inner tubes and paying someone to do it for me (Yes I'm lazy lol) so I think the only one to look at right now is the HiBoy S2 Pro which has these tires but only goes up to 19 mph

Think the Levy will make it on any of your "Best" lists? Great review and it even had some info I didn't know about my own scooter like the light brake squeeze engaging only the regenerative brake. I've been kind of doing all or nothing. Woops... One question: With the higher 350w motor on the levy, why does the M365 complete the hill climb test one second faster than the Levy? (21.2s vs 22.1s with the Levy) the gist I got from the review is that the Levy is punchier and faster than the m365 so I would have expected the Levy to win the hill-climb test. But anyway thanks for the review, I did a ton of reading before my purchase because I was on a firm $500 budget and I basically went on anecdotes from reddit almost exclusively. This helps solidify my confidence in my decision.

am still researching but the Levy as well as the TianRun X7 / Turboant X7 / Okidas / Henoh seem ALL to be rebrands of the HX X7 manufactured in the SAME factory in China .... is that right ? If so, is there any added value apart from warranty duration between all these brands ?

$500 gets 350 Watt motor with 6,400 mAh swappable batteries for the win. Everything else is a unitasker novelty to sit around till its ready again. Also the real air tires on this is only way to have real cushioned rides going through sidewalk ramps on streets, everything else promised about other wheel materials are marketing gimmicks that lower your overall range. I'd get this configuration of features so far after everything I seen browsing for 1 day. Researching ebikes and eskateboards for years you see the market price points are all gimmicks to sell you underpowered things thinking they are a bargain, or overpriced things that just had a different mainboard maxspeed settings programmed for over $1000, I'm sure this config can go 40+ mph if you find the right forum of enthusiasts that explain their custom firmware process. Just waiting for them to get more smaller though, bouncers at bars let me carry electric longboards in, but this is considerably more unwieldy.

The battery life is absolutely terrible for the 6.4 version. Don't believe the review's claim that its 8 miles. I have only been averaging 10 - 12 mph in a city commute and the thing can maybe do 5 - 5.5 miles. And here's the thing, the scooter will be put into low-performance mode when it has 20% battery left, but the battery indicator is extremely unreliable and the data shown on the scooter's screen fluctuates too much (one second it goes 4 bars, then one second its goes 1 bar), so you can't predict when it will hit 20%. The low performance is very slow and there's no point in riding a scooter if its put into low-performance mode. I even purchased an extra battery just to counter the scooter going to low performance mode when I hit 3 miles, but the extra battery I purchased was even worse than the one that came with my original scooter. I started a returns claim, so hopefully I can get a refund. I am extremely suspicious of this review not even stating a single critique / solid bad thing about the scooter.

Im in the same boat my friend, Had the controller replaced twice and a tire that no bike or scooter shop will dare touch. The customer service is great but the regular Levy scooters I believe are faulty. I purchased 3 of them with one being the plus model. That works perfect but the other two are straight shit. We've purchased extra batteries as well so around 2k total. I've filed a complaint also and think I'll settle for a refund or upgrade. We haven't been able to ride the scooter all summer and now fall.

Ocean Tomkins I found the battery didn’t last nearly as long as advertised. I had two of these and my kids got sick of them pretty quickly. I would rather something with a bit more oomff and more range.

We have this model in Australia and the screen is impossible to read the screen. Also, the battery is ultra-unreliable in that it will lose range very quickly. Stick with the Xiaomi.

are you sure you can bring this in the plane? Seems like more than 160 Wh or 100 Wh carry on limit

We were wrong on this one. 100Wh is definitely ok and 160Wh is ok with permission from the airline, but over that is a no-go for passenger aircraft. The Ninebot T15 Air is sub 160Wh, but still isn't straightforward to fly with , as it's over 100Wh, so it needs permission to fly, which is probably still not easy to get. -Paul

Tire Slime is a Waste of Money. Slime will not work if you puncture the tire. Depends on the size of the hole.

There's no way you can bring the battery on the plane. In north america the limit is 100wh - 160wh, the battery pack is 230wh!

Levy has many different names in some countries. Tianrun X7, ObBoards X7, Hx-X7, Turboant X7 and finally in Turkey Citymate X7. It is really a good scooter. But which is the importing company, which is a manufacturer of Chinese firm name? This is shaken some confidence not knowing. I've had Citymate X7 for quite some time. The only bad part is the exploding inflatable tires. Especially the front tire puncture. Unfortunately, the engine is also for this tire, so it needs to go to service. The most advantageous point is the powerful battery. Citymate X7 has more powerfull battery than The Xiaomi M365 Pro. The torque is really good. The portable battery is already known. Finally, the battery compartment is in the handlebars like the Ninebot. On the Xiaomi m365 it's under the floor where you stand. In this case, if you hit the bottom of the scooter, there is the possibility of damaging the battery. The only problem with all the devices on the market is the use in the rain. They are not covered by the warranty. As a matter of fact, a lot of users like me can't even drive if it rains. Tires and watertight reason for failure in our country (Turkey) is completely out of warranty. Thanks again for the video.

Would applying the slime at first before anything bad happens prevent punctures and work out better overall? Or are you supposed to wait for a puncture to use it

The battery is too large to go on a flight. 100wh is the flying limit. My m365 has a 280wh battery.

Hey bro so I just found the scooter in a parking lot somewhere where they're ripping down stores by a mall and I must say it is a total POS this thing is a lightweight really rapidly built toy it looks like something that razor crapped out in their nightmares and then reach and crapped out again when they had a bad case of diarrhea so I really hope that nobody actually bought this scooter and if you did I hope you're 12

I gave you a *thumb down* for your "review" and I'm gonna tell you why. Spend almost 15 mintues in a video and NOT TELLING THE BEST PART of this scooter is something that, for me at least, is unforgivening !. And what is that ?: The *hidden functions* of course, this scooter has and which is obvious you have *no idea* about it !. That is because, of course, you don´t do an indeep research before doing a video and only take as a reference its insignificant and very bad written Owner Manual at the most pure Chinese Style ! !, which always means *BAD*
