Removing an OEM head unit from a Nissan Skyline R34 25GT

4 жыл бұрынJust a quick tutorial demonstrating the steps to removing and replacing an OEM head unit in a Nissan Skyline. Unfortunately I dont have footage of the radio working, forgot to get the Nissan to ISO cable to properly power and connect the unit to the car.
Unit is working and functional after the owner found the cable and applied it.

I believe it's the stock radio antenna cable

what adapter did you use for the headunit?

Sorry for the late reply, used the oem bracket that came with the oem head unit, depending on your country, they should sell a dual DIN or single DIN adapter for the Skyline 👌👌

where can i get the 2-din radio harness?

Depending on your country, most auto stores should have a Nissan or even radio manufacturer harness (Example: Sony, Pioneer, Clarion ETC) If a harness cant be found, worst case is needing to wire it or have it wired to the harness itself.

Honestly, currently I’m in Japan right now but trying wire it to a American 2-din radio

Ahh, that can be difficult, I’d get a expert to help in that instance, don’t think you’ll be able to find an adapter for that kind of radio locally 😅

What nissan ISO harness did you use to connect the new head unit? 4:53

The harnesses used were the radio manufacturer harness and a Nissan harness you can purchase from most car auto retail stores. For us it was SCA (super cheap auto)

@@ballzac7286 what radio do you have? That will depend on whether the harness fits 🤞 I looked up 1021 and I couldn’t see many results

@@ballzac7286 ahhh, that looks similar to what we used! This other harness may also work aerpro.com/app0120 The 120 supports the newer skylines and the 300ZX which may have the same wiring setup to the 98-2000 skylines 🤞 I hope this helps

My local auto parts store. Super cheap auto, autobarn, repco. I believe if you go to a car audio store there should be some there hopefully 🤞
