@19:04 It's awfully convenient that the video leaves our the adhesive that was used to attach the panel to the lid at the factory. This video makes that step seem deceptively simple. For anyone performing this repair, be aware that there are adhesive strips that run the entire height of the display along the left and right edges. They adhere part of the LCD panel's metal to a glued-on piece of plastic. That plastic will serve as an insulator and prevent heat from adequately softening the adhesive. You will have to pry far beyond what feels comfortable to get that edge up, which risks cracking the digitizer. I found that using a thin spudger and entering from the top, wriggling back and forth, will let you cut away enough adhesive to be able to enter at an angle from the side and keep working it out. Once you have one side open, you can use floss to cut through the adhesive on the opposite side. Kudos to HP for providing repair videos. It's unfortunate that HP hasn't figured out how to design a secure hinge after 20 years.

Hello, will doing this manipulation impact the warranty? I have a flashing LED (3.2) which seemingly involves the memory and requires, according to the HP support, to unplug and replug the memory slot. Kind of simple thing compared to this but I don't see it covered. How do I fix a key that is sticking when I press it? It stays down for a fraction of a second and then goes back with a kind of "clunk" and its throwing off my typing.
