I can’t believe you took a gamble with the tree. Lucky. Best practice; use a bow & arrow to launch twine over a branch, tie a strong rope to the end of the twine and attach the rope somewhere up the tree. Tie off the ground side rope to a secure spot in the desire fall direction. Tighten it using levers. Cut the tree and tighten the rope as the tree bends.

I just did a similar tree drop. Felt so good dropping dead middle. Killer

When you are pulling something like that with that much tension, lay something heavy like another chain over the pull chain in the middle. That way if the chain breaks or comes loose it, gravity will pull it straight to the ground and it won’t come flying at you or your truck. People have been killed doing what you did.

The more you cut from the top the less leverage you have to pull it out!

Also you should note that you should NEVER use a chain to pull something. Doesn't matter how thick the links are - this is why straps exist.

Can I be honest? Watching this video, I feel like ....somethings wrong. Like if there is a situation in Alaska that is harmful, tiresome or damaging to people.
