Removing Subaru Impreza WRX Security System (Sigma) Part 1

Hi All,
Welcome to my channel, this video is about me removing the Sigma Alarm system that is currently installed in my 2001 WRX. This is driving me mad, it wont allow me to unlock the car and the pin pad is broken. This will be a two part video one with me tracing all the cables and the second will me removing and returning it to factor.
I hope you like the video and please comment for what you would like to see me do to this car.

Hi mate, I have a classic with what looks like the sigma alarm issue. I can’t find the part from your video where I can bypass the fuel pump relay on the alarm. I have followed the black and yellow wire from the pump but it gets lost when it goes to the front

Going to get this removed from my van as it's constantly draining the battery, is it ignition, fuel pump, and alarm? Wish there was a way to just deactivate it and bypass the starting so it didn't drain my battery constantly lol

Hi men, Can help with that solution? I have same 2018 wrx and need remove that sigma because the car is with lost key and now with new key has not start the car. thank you

Did you end up removing it? I have the same issue with a 2015 WRX. Changed the engine and ECU and now stuck on the Car/Lock light on dash

@@yeoyeo2932 I have a 2001 Forester S Turbo Which seems to have the similar alarm fitted ( with the factory blue Fob) , For some reason after being locked with the fob last night, it randomly got se of at 11pm last night for no obvious reason. The only thing that I an think of as of now I better related. From what I can see all the cables look ok. It has one of the Subaru Blue Axilery Fobs as well as buttons on the key itself, Do you know why the use them?) Kind Regards James

You can easily bypass the sigma but bridging the cut white wire under the steering column it is the main defence for the sigma to cut power to the ignition. Once that has been bridged you should be able to start the car again. Note it is a quiet a thick wire.
