Liked that, its not all easy is it! That turbo was f~/ked, cant believe you have a spare, very lucky!

Yep this one is already a pig! Yea that turbo had cried enough! With good reason since there where no coolant or oil lines going to it! Couldn’t believe it! Yea so glad I keep parts from cars Iv sold long ago lol!

I had a similar issue and it turned out to be the Oil cooler which I was told was a common issue. Love your content :)

Sadly ended up needing an engine replacement as compression was so bad! Was at 65Psi max! Thanks for the kind words! 😃

I get that this is 3 years old but I have a 180t and my cam belt has just gone I’m thinking about doing this myself as I’ve bought a brand new head, water pump, gaskets, belt, bolts etc. the thing that scares the sh1t out of me is the timing. Obviously I’m not looking to lock and replace, I’m replacing what is undoubtedly a rogered head and also knowing nothing about timing I have roughly 99.9% possibility of getting this wrong. 😢

Yea timing is a daunting thing. To be honest if your cambelt failed you’ve likely got bottom end damage too. I’d be sourcing a replacement engine personally

I have subbed this channel, and impressed with quality of content and advice given. My two cents regarding timing, having done a few…is that you will not continue until everything lines up perfectly That’s the main worry for a 1st time, is thinking that close will be good enough. You can and will make it perfect! Sorry to hear about the loss of the head, but what a grand opportunity and learning experience. Many thanks to this channel, Don
