That is ok if you are young and fit and don't have a bad back . I have a Honda self propelled and it is heavy but I wish it had an electric start for the times when my back is not good . I just bought a ride on mower instead .

Hey man! I have a Toro 22in Recycler that is gas powered but has an electric start function. While mowing the other day I accidentally ripped the positive diode out of the plastic. Do you have a video on how to repair this?? I have an extra cable with diodes that came with the mower!

I it by the battery? I should be able to just slide right in. Or did the wire break at the plastic. Either way, you could just cut the wire and use the spare clip or just hot wire it. You get yourself a universal clip and replace both sides of the wire

Oh please 15-20lbs. 6lbs max. And unless you're actually carrying the mower instead of using the self propelled drive that it has how are you going to feel it?

You’re right prob not 15-20 lbs. more in the 5-10lbs range. But the weight does matter, over a course of an hour when making a lot of turns it weighs on your arms. Not everyone’s 30 years old and healthy. Most ppl that bring mowers with the starter report that they haven’t used the starter in years. So why carry the weight around? Thanks for commenting. And the batteries last 2-3 years and they never replace them.

@@SHONEY21Z you make absolutely no sense whatsoever. If you're too old and weak to push down on the handle to make a turn, then you're probably not strong enough to pull start the machine.

😂 pull the cord 1 or two times vs turning the mower around 100 times in a yard. I’ll gladly pull it 1 times vs moving extra weight around for an hour. What if you bought it second hand and don’t want the electric start?

Maybe a dumb question but how do you shut it off? Pull spark plug wire?

This particular model does not have the kill switch and blade clutch. It works off the traditional brake cable and handle. So when you let go of the landless lever, the coil is grounded and the motor shuts off. If you have the model with the key/kill switch, that needs to remain wired in to shut off the mower.

Never need a electric starter on a push mower anyway

You need to join the Military and carry 40 to 58 kilo's of gear around for some years up and down mountains and in and out of swamps and jungles and then your back will be totally ruined and you won't be able to even pull a start cord on some days . Then you will appreciate the electric start .

They are helpful for some people. But if you’re 15 year old is cutting the grass and the battery has been dead for years, then the extra weight is unnecessary. Thanks for watching!
