Shoutout to Diva for covering for you in the interval. ❤ It's important to remember that Ren just made this whole album for fun so he had stuff to release in Canada while taking a break for treatment. It wasn't a carefully planned commercial enterprise. Just like this song, he was playing around, seeing what he could do, and paying homage to the styles he likes. God help us when he actually *tries* to take over the world. 😂

Another great reaction to another Ren banger! You said "he has interesting rhyme and syllable placement that you normally wouldn't hear on parts of these beats" - wish you'd illustrated that point. I just hear Ren being Ren, lol. It looks like he will drop lyric videos for the other new tunes from Sick Boi also. Love them all, but Seven Sins is an all-time fav for me. ( Diva peeking out at you ❤)

Thanks as usual Lou I hope you saw the little part of towards the end of the vid 💙. Ren was using different flows with the same pattern beat, while also changing his syllable density. Essentially, he is rapping at different speeds on the same beat, but the syllables where the rhymes are... are still at the same moment of the beat. For example, say flow A: 8 syllables per bar, with syllables 6, 7, and 8 being the rhyming part. Then he switches to flow B: 16 syllables per bar (He's rapping faster). Syllables 14, 15, 16 all rhyme. On top of that though, there are inner rhymes on syllables 4,5 and 9,10. While he is still rapping on beat, he attacked the beat in two different ways while staying true to the rhyme + rhythm. Another thing he also did was use his voice inflections as rhymes. The words he sung didn't rhyme on paper, but the part of the word he extended while singing sounded like each other. So audibly, it still hits our ear as a rhyme. It's hard to explain, but it shows that he can maneuver very creatively during his writing process, breaking the rules sometimes while still somehow sticking to the rules.
