It's great to see someone trying to keep modern classics on the road. I really wished you'd managed to salvage the Astra SR recently, but realise there has to be a profit margin in these projects. Me and my mate have done a lot of welding in the engine bay of my nova before we’ve even got to the back end of the car. I was going to use filler to make the engine bay nice and smooth once the welding has been done, but seeing that you’ve used fibreglass and it’s a good result I’m going to follow suit. All my wiring will be hidden as much as I can so I need everything very neat. Everyday is a school day so thanks 👍🏻

Loved my GT Turbos, had 2 of them and also had 2 earlier Gordini Turbos and a Le Car Turbo 2 which was a low spec Gordini as the run out model of the mk1 in 1985. Lovely!

When I was a tanker fitter I would sometimes have to mig weld outside in the wind and rain with an old door as a windbreak. Happy days....not lol You're doing a great job and this content is very interesting.

And this video just proves my point why that mk1 astra had to go. That was one big rusty hole . I can’t even imagine how many man hours that would have taken. This’ll be a nice one when it’s done 👍

Hi mate when I'm welding I always have an air line with a blower on it to hand soon as i stop wrling blow to cool as I go + if the seem sealer start to burn can soon put it out
