great job one thing it is a good idea to put oil in the oil filter before fitting it it helps with the oil circulation when starting

Thanks for sharing, I'll be doing my own this year.I get the same with the mayo gunk under the filler cap,it's reassuring to know it's a common fault due to the design of the filler tube,and not the head gasket.

Thanx for video, do you know if there is a fuel filter? I bought one, but unfortunately cant find where is located.

Hi Jozef. I believe the fuel filter is located under the car, next to the fuel tank. Not had to do mine yet, so not 100%. Hope that helps, All the best. 👍

Just about to attempt this and just got a quick question. If I'm using the jacking points wheres a good place to put the jack stands? Mines a slightly older mk3 so not sure if you've got the same layout

@@vialettotony OK sound. My front shocks are pretty crusty so may need that video in future. BTW I've done the back springs and they've updated those shitty rubber mounts on the bottom, I'm guessing they may have done the same on the front.

Hi Goshini. I believe it’s underneath closer to the fuel tank. Not had to do it yet unfortunately. Hope that helps. All the best 👍

Unscrew filter a bit,than le it drip, over filter is oil cooler so there is like 0.3l oil, let it drip all an than unscrew it all way. You can pierce filter from bottom 2, and let it drip that way. Sludge on oilfill cap is from condesation, clean oil fume recirculation valves and hoses and sludge will disappear.

What about oil consumption, do you have to top up oil until next oil change?

I have a Renault Wind and it's almost the same setup. I'm going to be sucking my oil out using a pump and I'm hoping that if I remove the driver's side wheel I'll be able to reach the oil filter through the wheel arch.

I want to know Should I change the engine oil every 12 months, even if the car has not moved, or every 8,000 km, even if this is achieved after years?

Hi. The cars computer will tell you when to change the oil as it will calculate it based on the driving style etc. if you’re not driving it at all, then it will likely be good for a couple of years probably. All the best 👍

Is this a good engine? Some Renault engines can consume oil, what about this engine?

Hi Joel. Had no issues with this one. A bit of condensation in the oil filler neck which is common, but all good otherwise. Hope that helps. All the best 👍

As far as i know it’s behind the wheel arch liner on the front right. You have to remove the liner to access it. All the best 👍

Didn't reset the service and when it says oil ok you are meant to press the stalk on the right is will show you the oil level no need to keep pulling the stick out
