Great video..especially with one hand!! My egr valve was siezed solid in the block....there is a small hole to the left of the two locating bolts...long bolt screwed into them and carefully tightened with ratchet...lifts the valve body off straight up with no skinned knuckles or swearing! Keep the videos coming they're great!

I’ll have to put a vote for launch fluids myself, I’ve recently put some of their dpf cleaner and flow restorer into the tank of my mk4 mondeo, I’ve noticed since it’s regenerating more often and quicker now. Never noticed any difference when using any other brand and for less than a tenner a bottle it’s got my vote as preventative maintenance 👍

How many garages would of charged for a new egr valve? Can’t believe how you make it look so easy Jimmy working with one hand 😅 why don’t you wear disposable gloves?

Great video as usual Jimmy. Sudorf do a nice set of 3/8 drive magnetic sockets. I find them great for those jobs that you have to be a contortionist to refit bolts without dropping them!

Letting the engine run for few min right before changing spark plugs or glow plugs can also help reduce the risk of breaking one. Especially if the engine has a reputation for that. Didn't know that kind of impact gun existed, nice!

It’s always the last one Jimmy I even tried to trick the system by doing the last one second but the Fricking third one was stuck 😂 I’m glad your getting something from LAUNCH because let’s face it you have definitely helped get their brand out there, i did email them back when you first changed to the LAUNCH fluid to point them in your direction I think it was Richard that replied saying that they were already in talks with you, even that seems ages ago. Have you tried any other DPF products since then❓

I removed our erg valve and it was bunged up. However no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get the valve to move Inside. I emailed the manufactures about it and they said as its electronic and it would only operate when it's powered by the vehicle.? I noticed the one your working on is electronicly operated but the valve can be pushed. ?

I have one of these on a 17 plate where there are no warning lights etc but repeatedly the leaking EGR cooler has been replaced leaking water between the two halves of the cooler Renault clueless on why Do you travel as far as Bolton? 🙏

Just as a matter of interest would this job disturb the EGR cooler as van in for service today and I had informed them of a hissing noise and they are telling me the cooler is leaking? They replaced the EGR valve in Jan approximately 4000 miles ago?

I think maybe you should now start to make some money from these companies. I am thinking through generosity they have been making a fortune with little recompense coming your way. I get you want to inform us on how to fix and diagnose these problems properly but you don't have to mention or show their products. Why shouldn't you get something back? I would make sure I did if it were me. The jacket with their name on is not for your benefit by having your company name on. It's for their benefit which is why their name is on it. BTW I have purchased your cup. Hope others are too 🙂
