I agree to an extent, but this new ballpark would be so so much better & cooler & not nearly as much in the ghetto.

For me, it's just the area is barren. A fun part of Wrigley is the whole experience with the neighborhood and the ballpark. Now this place is close to a lot of things which can attract more people to the game.

a different, more $$$ dense area would bring more fans and money to the team. Comparing it to Wrigley, having something accessible downtown would also draw a larger crowd organically. last minute tickets, business suits, etc. Its that or get rid of the team.

If this thing becomes a reality, could Wrigley Field’s future be uncertain? This new ballpark will make Wrigley obsolete.

The city makes money by tearing up and rebuilding all the time, while some people sleep on the sidewalk.

As cool as this is and I do hope the Whitesox build on the lakefront but them joining with the Chicago Bears and their new stadium proposal is the only way they could reach a parity with the Cubs. Anything other then that the Cubs have lapped them by a country mile and as cool as their stadium plans are they’ll always be second to the Chicago Cubs.

Agree with Motley. 30 years is not old for a ballpark. There is no way this happens without taxpayers getting stuck. Reinsdorf is not paying for it. Also where is the parking? Sox fans come from the south suburbs. They ain’t using a water taxi.

I understand the bears wanting to leave Soldier Field. And if they leave soldier Field for Arlington heights or somewhere else in the city I feel like soldier Field will be just fine. However the White Sox leaving comiskey seems like we'll have a more negative impact on those neighborhoods like Armor Square and Bridgeport

I don't see anywhere for 40k fans to park. Yet another soldier field. Are we really supposed to take our children to this place on the cta with all the crime in Chicago?

It's like Wrigley, you have to find it, or find a parking structure in the Loop. I read somewhere that there might be parking under Roosevelt Road, so that might be something. For me, I like the fact that it's close to almost every CTA train line, and the water taxi. Now I can take the Brown line there!
