Haha, that's a clever one! While borrowing your neighbor's electricity might seem easy, it's always better to explore sustainable and ethical ways to meet your energy needs. The problem is not that they achieve perpetual motion,because surely there must exist. The problem is that they generate a considerable amount of energy to be able to sustain a domestic device. Even if the invention showed works, it would not even be able to turn on a tv, due the counter electromotive force of the generator.

We used to make this very same device out of dirt and twigs and small rocks when we were children. They always worked great. Most of our small town was powered by devices like this. One day, three aliens from the planet Zook landed a flying saucer in our town square and they showed us how to make these. We were so grateful that we thanked the aliens by only killing and eating two of them and letting the third one live captive in our zoo. I think that one is still alive and in that same cage to this day. I really should go visit and toss peanuts to it.

This is one of the best looking impossible machines I've seen, but like so many of these machines, the big give-away is the incorporporation of a 'generator' which, as we all know, can also function as a motor. Add a discreet power source and the mystery is solved. Add a poorly informed gullible viewer and hear them say: Wow you're a genius.

It looks like the loss to friction on the center ballast will be a major loss to the system and a failure point long term. I think that a center aligned rotation with as minimal friction as possible is a better idea. The movement where force is stored in a ferromagnetic substance in a liquid would probably be a better method of action. I think work could be generated by the natural movement, gravity and magnets. Adjustments could be made with the viscosity of the liquid to change the rate at which the ferromagnetic substance moves through the liquid to optimize the stored energy. Thus changing the amount of work to lift vs the amount of energy generated by fall by adjusting to the center point of the rotation. Think of spinning in a chair with your legs out vs your legs in. Or swinging on a swing... I think the idea could be tested with plastic soda bottles or water bottles on metal rods, or a wooden wheel, on a center point being a minimal loss bearing. Initial work would have to be used to start the action but generation of movement with an incredibly low starting threshold for extended periods of time should be possible.
@heinzpg
@heinzpg 5 ай бұрын
Friction is not the problem with these designs. If you could remove all friction by magic, these designs would still not work. For the simple reason that neither permanent magnets nor gravity can deliver continuous energy. They only offer potential energy, which is always only a small amount for one time. To get this amount again you have to invest the energy which was gained before. In your example of a spinning chair the energy does not change when legs are in and out. If they are out you turn slower but the moment of inertia gets bigger. If the legs are in you turn faster but the moment of inertia is smaller. Energy doesn't change.
@LauraSmith-rs5fj
@LauraSmith-rs5fj 5 ай бұрын
@@heinzpg just like when you're on a swing set and you put your legs out or you're going forward and back when you're coming back it doesn't make you go higher... There are ways to work within the laws of physics that exist and still use the maximum potential energy. Environmental factors can also increase that energy.
@heinzpg
@heinzpg 5 ай бұрын
@@LauraSmith-rs5fj What happens on a swing set is called "parametric amplification". You have an input of your muscular energy synchronized with the swing and thus the small inputs of energy can add up to a bigger kinetic energy. This is of course within the laws of physics. But neither gravity nor permanent magnetism deliver continuous energy, their contribution is always alternating plus and minus, with the total sum always close to zero. And there is no way to get around this, also not by pulling in other energy inputs for help. Gravity and magnetism are what physicists call "conservative forces", no energy can be gained from them. "Energygraphy" presents in his videos many devices supposed to gain energy from gravity and/or magnetism, but only in simulations. None of them works in reality, and this has nothing to do with friction. They would also not work if friction could be nullified.
@LauraSmith-rs5fj
@LauraSmith-rs5fj 5 ай бұрын
@@heinzpg I think what you're saying is accurate. You have not taken into consideration the feral magnetic liquid in the design proposal. It would operate in the exact same way that legs on a swing would if created properly. The gain would not be large. But it also wouldn't have to be. It would only have to be larger than the friction of the ball bearing on the center shaft.
@heinzpg
@heinzpg 5 ай бұрын
@@LauraSmith-rs5fj Here is something you have not taken in consideration. With a person on a swing there is an external input of energy, which is generated by muscular force. With magnetic liquid there is no such input. The liquid only moves due to gravity and magnetic forces, but neither gravity nor magnetic forces are a source of energy. And with no energy in there is no energy out. Conservation of energy can't be tricked, it is a fundamental principle of nature. Our universe wouldn't be stable without this conservation, a clever woman, a Mrs Noether, has proved that about 100 years ago. In my MSc studies for electrical engineering I had a lot of physics, and any person competent in physics will confirm my verdict: It does not work.

Actually if you think outside the box and utilize other free energy processes and a battery bank system, this is quite interesting. Using rare earth magnets in the circular gram and magnetic weighted balls with a Cooper wire intertwined and inside the circular frame along side a wind turbine generator or aqua turbine you could get well above the put out limits. Although it’s be degrading over time on battery and Maintennce and not to mention the laws your bending, but it’s doable. I might play with this for my camping generator DYI. 🤔😂

IMPORTANT: Try this out. I once had seen a paper that had information on how to build a FREE ENERGY/MOTOR GENERATOR. The motor/generator once started would keep running and you would get Free Over Unity Electrical Energy .The person had used Permanent Magnets and Electro Magnets with High Voltage Capacitors. With electro magnets and capacitors you can have a controlled magnetic field that stops the moment the capacitor is drained of its energy. With an all permanent magnet system you need to physically move one of the magnets away from the other or you get a clogging effect where motion of the rotor stops. By using electro magnets and capacitors or super capacitors you can have a controlled intermittent magnetic field. You can control the magnetic field with by an optical switch or better still with a solid state Hall Effect Sensor Switch. The electro magnet can be used as a generator to recharge the capacitor. You may need a diode to ensure the capacitors get the proper charging polarity. By switching a magnetic field on and off you can stop the clogging effect therefore the rotor can keep on turning and keep gaining momentum. I Reply
